Politico: Pro-Paul PAC makes BIG ad buy in South Carolina

I still maintain that PACs should go full negative against competitors, but not mention Ron Paul.
That's what all the others' idiot PACs are doing. Our PACs are better than that. South Carolinians are sick of negative ads and only going to get sicker. These ads are excellent.

This guys popped over a quarter mil for the ads. You think they just threw these together in Powerpoint? Come on guys. Let's give them some credit, I'm sure they had some good testing done. These are business professionals, all wildly more successful than most of us.

Right on. The more I see their ads, the more I appreciate them. They're ON MESSAGE. They don't waste time. They hit the message cleanly. It's like they're just taking free throws and hitting them. Nothing flashy, spectacular. But they're putting points on the board. They have a picture of Ron Paul in uniform. They're using it. Points for Ron Paul. They have a picture of Ron Paul with Reagan. They're using it. Points for Ron Paul. These are such nice, quick hits, 30 seconds.

More airtime for Ron Paul is better. The messages are good.

Too bad the production quality is so lame on the commercials, though. I could have done this in my spare time on a weekend. I could have spent two weekends and composed some kick ass music, too... and I'd be free labor!

Too many of our commercials have way too much music and the music is almost always too loud.

These scripts are so tight.

The military one is great 1) troops give money - with chart 2) Ron Paul is Veteran - with Ron Paul uniform pic.
Plus other pix that South Carolinans should like.

These are the ads that need to be run.

and you can go negative too, because gingrich, romney and santorum are the only ones capable of taking votes

Another Military ad that may be good in SC.

What we really need is an ad with old people in it talking about SS and medicare.

I don't know if it is time to go after romney yet.

To get SC voters you need to be Christian, pro National Defense, Pro Life and ease the seniors fears. There is an ad in the list talking about jobs too I believe.

15 second electability ad. Brilliant. It's the message we want out there being put out there. And taking only 15 seconds.

Masks is the closest to clever they get, and there isn't as much message per second, but the message is clear. All those Presidents are Big Government and so are Newt and Mitt. Ron Paul is Liberty.

I like the electability one. It is good. really need to hit on SS

TARP, electability, and support from the military ones are great.
The mask one wasn't so great.
But they're trying and if we win SC, you naysayers are going to change your minds.

We NEED to get a screen shot or the actual picture of this portion of the Ad. (It's when Mitt is signing Romneycare with Ted Kennedy looking on about to have an orgasm)

Would be a great Ad to run in Newspapers or flyers in Florida.

It would be even better to have this image side by side with it :D

Entitle the ad "Ghostwriter" :p

Those 2 are great ads. Official Campaign Ads. All of the Official Campaign Ads are Great.

The ads on this thread are Super PAC ads. They're paid for by one or a small number of people who have maxed out. Like how Super PACs work. In the real world, you never hear about Super PACs wanting money. The commercials just arrive. And those particular ads are just so tightly scripted. I think I'd prefer "true conservative" to "true republican" but I can see a reason for choosing republican. we had voters in NH who voted for ron paul on the democrat ballot. some were democrats. but others simply didn't know that ron paul was a republican, and took the democrat ballot. South Carolina is an open primary.

I wasn't trying to compare the quality of the ads, just trying to give a visual representation of the type of ads I would like to see run based on the issues that IMO SC voters care about.

Of the PAC ads I like the bailout add with Mitt calling it a rescue plan. I love the short electability one. I dislike using a pundit's condescending question in the one comparing RP's electability to Reagan as I don't like even a hint of any perceived negativity or of having to prove Ron's viability. The faces one is decent, especially with the transition to the Mitt/Newt split shot, but I don't understand why they ask if someone has the "courage" to vote for RP. The veterans one is really good as is the "Who is representing you" ad.

I might have seemed dismissive of the group of ads earlier, but that wasn't my intent. I still think we have to be very careful concerning who is presented with what information, a la the Super Brochure fiasco.

The ads I think they should run the most are the:
Bailout
Electability
What the Polls say
Support of and for our military

Those ads are the ones that hit the points that help us the most, the others I am not quite as sure about. Anyway to get in contact with them?

I like them, people talk down ads that THEY don't like but these look like the regular ads you would see a mitt romney or obama run WHICH looking mainstream should be considered a good thing.

If I had a super pac, I would do the ads I wanted to run and as a Ron Paul supporter I doubt they would intentionally put out any ads that would give negative press especially since it would be THEIR money. It isn't like the super brochure for instance which is being funded by OTHERS which should have stats and specifics and alterations DONE to FIX them etc.

Odds are shooting an email with GREAT ADS to this super pac could allow them to watch them and maybe get ideas for their next ads? Who knows it could work but the more big money we have on our side running ads the better even if they are not the best of the best.

RUN EM and lets get Ron elected so we can get our Republic back!

can pacs coordinate with eachother? Because REv Pac has some good ads and makes them well (I really like the last two).

actually, that's not so bad. It is a little edgy, and doesn't mention that Huntsman, Gingrich etc all thought TARP was dandy, too, but it is ok, I think.

I liked the part with the poll, although I'm a little uncomfortable with cherry picking just one. Ron does poll well, but maybe an average.... anyhow, it is definitely a point that needed to be addressed and it didn't seem like the campaign was going to do it any time soon.

So, thank you, Superpac!

I know that the candidates cannot. Can the PACS? I would assume not, but I am not sure.

I second that idea.My preference would be to flood the airwaves with ads showing Paul IS electable and in some ways (attracting the independents and youth),you could make the statistical case he is the only electable gopper.Let's hear it for the Gopper!
that would be a spectacular idea!

These ads are absolutely awful. Why would you play Carl Cameron's electability hit without Ron's response? That's practically advertising suicide.
