"Trade" (so called ) is just a PART of the managed and controlled STATIST MIXED ECONOMY. Tain't the "FREE MARKET" by a country light year or two, practically.
CHEERS!
In the end all trade is voluntary and all trade happens between two individuals. Even trade made possible thru managed and regulated trade agreements, are voluntary and mutually benifitial. I can trade some of my work, for some cheap colombian coffe. Nobody forced me to buy it, and nobody forced the farmer to make the coffee, we both did it voluntarely and we both benifitted, otherwize the trade would not have happened. It might be that that coffe at that price would never have found its way here without a managed trade agreement between two countries. What is worse than a managed trade agreement that makes holes in trade barriers between some countries, are trade barriers without any holes in it at all.
Cheers
Interesting theory, according to the book.
On the other hand, REALITY deviates from theory just a little bit more than somewhat.
Your original post that started this voluntary exchange between us should perhaps, more accurately, have been, "Me likes the 'State' managed and controlled market, lots".

Should probably been.. Me likes trade lots.. If i cant get me some of that nice free trade action, then i'll settle for any old trade.
Cheers
Congressman Paul is an authoritarian, just like me!![]()
Yeah, like all of those folks even bothered to take that deeply flawed and crappy survey.mike gravel is sorta close to ron paul
ralph nader is sorta close to dennis kucinich
judging by those dots on the graph...
at least i am feeling more consistant...
"Political Science", one of my long time very favorite oxymorons.![]()
While looking for a witty article to refute you with, I stumbled across this. Certainly Amy would appreciate it.

one of those charts has politics as usual going up from the polls center up
onto the right hand corner in a 45 degree vector. someone spent time doing
up a construct. again, the statistical variance and the results happily poly~sci...
Ah, the problems defined.I don't think this is as flawed as TW claims... not nearly as bad the Nolan Chart.
I got a BIG red dot off the chart and to the right? What does it mean?
