Pledge to write in Dr. Paul. We go down with the ship.

Well, if it comes to that I will write in:
Dr Ron Paul, Phd-MD, DrOP, Econ-Supper-come-loudly, (r-Tex)

Humm, I might play with the notations just a bit, but these seem to set him above the others while making a point. And, you might ask what the "r" means... It means that, once again, I will leave the republican party. I'm only here for the sake of the good doctor.

I would vote for a ticket with Dr. P in the VP slot.

But no Ron on the ticket and I stay home elction night.

Diebold machines don't read write-ins. I'm a firm believer that there's no such thing as wasting your vote, but I'm sorry, a write-in is wasting your vote, simply because it will not be counted. Writing "Ron Paul" on your hand will accomplish the same thing.

I've been wondering this for a while. Do electronic voting machines even give you the option of a write-in? I don't recall seeing it the last time I used one.

Unless we all use absentee ballots to write him in.

if GOP doesn't give Paul the nomination then they deserve the rapage that the dems will give them in the general election.

I don't disagree with your sentiments. However, the typical procedure regarding write-ins is that only officially recognized write-ins are counted. State laws vary as to what is an officially recognized write-in, and typically there is a process which must be followed, beginning a few to many months prior to the election, in order to "register" a write-in candidate.

If those procedures are not followed, or if you fail to complete the process for whatever reasons, the write-ins for Paul wouldn't be counted, just as write-ins for Mickey Mouse don't count.

Sadly I believe this is correct. I read something about it on blackboxvoting but can't find it now.

In my opinion, Ron Paul has too much support behind him to give up, including big names. I don't think we'll have to write him in.

This has always been my position.

I will vote Ron Paul, even if I have to write him in. PERIOD!

So you'd vote for McCain if he is the nominee?

Oh HELL NO!

Sorry I didn't clarify. If McCain is the nominee, I will vote Hillary or Obama to keep McCain from continuing down the Bush path.
At any point, if Ron Paul isn't the nominee, the Republicans have lost their way and deserve to be splintered.
McCain will continue this status quo and probably institute a draft or something like HR393. Patriotism at the point of a gun is not a free society.
McCain is the one I'm most terrified of to sit in the Oval office. Hillary comes in second to me and I'd take her over him.

Hillary can be swayed with polls. We'll get F*kd with taxes but she'll end the war and do something about the economy better than McCain will. Whatever the polls say, she will do.

The next president will only be a 1 term president anyway.

If this is the case then we fund RP as a indepentant candidate and give him enough funds to file the correct paperwork with each state. Then we all continue grassroots efforts and vote him in by hand.
