If you write him in on the ballot, do you really think he'll win? Or will it put a democrat in office? Would you rather have Obama or Clinton in office than ANY of the republicans?
I'm not saying I won't write him in, I'm just curious what you guys think will happen.

No, they won't decide the election....but I think it could make a difference. I think we have no idea how close it will be. There are a lot of people who like Hillary Clinton, and a lot of people who would do anything to keep her out of office. I'm curious to see.The votes of Ron Paul supporters who write Ron Paul's name on the ballot are too small in number to decide the election. This isn't the 2000 election that was won by 537 votes. To them writing Ron Paul's name on the ballot is the right thing to do.

In all good conscience, if I did not write in Ron Paul, I would rather not vote at all.
Why in the world would anybody vote for one of those CFR candidates?
If anything, that many write ins would make a statement as to how much people are finished with the current way things are going.
You act like there is a difference.
Given the past 7 years, I do not want another Bushocrat in the office. This country simply can not take that. And unfortunately, all the other Republicans while trying to distance themselves from Bush have pretty much stated they are Bush. I would take a Democrat over any of the other RINOs we have running.
Besides, anyone paying attention to voter turnout and American opinion knows that any pro-war candidate will be annihilated. So you could ditch Paul and be a crowd follower all you want; it won't make a bit off difference.
The only republican that stands a chance is Ron Paul. Once the presidential candidates get picked you can be 100% sure that Iraq will be a major attack issue. Foreign policy, especially on Iran will come to the forefront. With Ron Paul, he could easily stand up to Clinton and Obama. With the others, they'll get obliterated. Sure the RINOs have their supporters, but going by the the turnout numbers so far the people voting democrat are easily exceeding the people voting republican. People want change, and no matter how hard the RINOs campaign I bet the majority of people just see Robot Bush, Evangelical Bush, Warmonger Bush, and Creepy Bush. And they'd be correct.
On the other hand, when people see Ron Paul they see...well...Ron Paul. That is our greatest strength in the overall scheme of things. Ron Paul isn't a Clinton Democrat and he isn't a Bush Republican. He is different. And when people finally see what he stands for, they get behind him.
I'm voting for Ron Paul no matter what. But if a democrat makes it to office, I'm ok with that.

I really didn't realize just how much support Hillary had on this board until now. As for voting for second best in a republican candidate what a load of BS. If RP is not nominated he is not the republican candidate at all even though we wish otherwise. Whoever is chosen by the MAJORITY of republicans is the only candidate of the republican party. The difference between most of the republican candidates and the Clintons is the difference between socialism and communism. If you don't believe that just go ahead and vote for Billary and see what happens to your freedoms. You say : what freedoms, well, how about the second amendment for one and the fourth amendment for another. As active as most of you have been on the internet think about the Clintons deciding that any computer that can access the internet should be licensed. I'm sure that you are all aware that computers can be used to incite the public to revolution. Just look at our campaign slogan. Do any of you think the licensing of computers is farfetched? If so please think again. As my grandparents used to say "do not cut off your nose to spite your face". Think, grow and adapt or become slaves. The choice is yours.
If you splinter the republican party you will ensure a democratic win. Any third party candidate will only assist the democrats. The Clintons just salivate at the thought of a third party run by Ron Paul. If he does not get the nomination and his supporters decide they would rather a democrat win than any of the remaining republicans then I suspect they will get thier wish. A united front is the only possible way to keep the Clintons out of the White House. The Clintons would of course prefer to run against McCain as they would be running on essentially the same platform. They do not want to run against Romney or Paul. Huckabee et al are non contenders in my opinion. If Paul does not get the nomination and Romney does I would hope he is smart enough to accept any offer by Romney to be his running mate. The Romney/Paul ticket would simply destroy any opponent. I have come to believe that Romneys strong support of the second amendment would make him very open to Ron Pauls ideas on how to fix the economy. The differences they have on the war are pretty much a moot point as our troops are scheduled to pull out before the end of 2009. Again I remind you, if you fail to support the republican party you are guilty of aiding and abetting the democrats in thier destruction of the american way of life. They will ban firearms and they will limit our first amendment rights. I do agree that both partys are anti america however one is like jumping off a cliff and the other is like sliding down with the possibility of grabbing a hand hold. DON'T JUMP folks.
