Please do NOT CALL or EMAIL the NH GOP

Is this for real? I will take off time to go protest at the forum, seriously, who's with me?

IF this is correct, and if there is to be a rally nearby, I am absolutely there.

However, I said before, this is currently UNCONFIRMED by the official campaign, so I would suggest we wait until we know for a fact that it is accurate before we make our displeasure known.

I'm pretty surprised that Fred "Hope for North America" Thompson is still taken seriously.

someone around here MUST know somone in FOX who is able to disconnect all power to FOXs stations on the night in question

just a simple off switch or a case of uunlock and throw away key

then we can post the reason on the web and no one canbe blamed

While the band scrambler would indeed by quite entertaining and hilarious, I'm sure the Paul supporter that sets it up won't be doing much voting come November as they're being tried for some ambiguous form of terrrorism. ;)

Leaving Ron's name out of a list can mean numerous things
-Name omitted by accident in the AP Press Release
-Ron Paul declined for scheduling reasons.
-Ron Paul has not yet accepted the invitation
-Other myriad reasons

I see a lot of jumping to conclusions.

IF this is confirmed, we should all write and complain. It's the ONLY thing that works so far as much as I hate to say it.

No, only NH voters and preferably registered GOP voters in NH. Nobody likes people from out of state how to run their own state business.

This is from DailyPaul. Once again, I cannot stress that people overreacting and emailing the GOP need to slow down and think before they do something stupid.

On December 27th, 2007 Jane Aitken says:
Please do NOT bombard the NH GOP. I spoke to them about this LAST WEEK and they said all the candidates were invited..

This is my post from below.

This is an unconfirmed schedule for the last days before the NH primary. I am in touch with the campaign and with the NH GOP to find out if he will be attending the GOP's two events.. I assure you, the NH GOP (Fergus Cullen) would NOT dare to exclude him. NH does not do things like that, so whoever wrote that snarky piece is a jerk. It was more likely that the AP was given the list of those who'd already RSVP'd and Ron likely hadn't at the time. It never said he was 'excluded'. That was an assumption by that blogger..

Btw, LewRockwell.com has removed the email link now.

bump.

DO NOT GO ON THE OFFENSE AND BOMBARD PEOPLE. CHILL OUT and WAIT.

Keep in mind that many, not all, of those trumpeting the songs of "attack them" are probably NOT Ron Paul supporters and manipulating us for the new kook tactic that they keep labeling us with.

SO... DO NOT DO ANYTHING YET. THIS NEEDS TO BE CONFIRMED. Lew Rockwell should be a little more discerning about what he writes.

People need to stop this nonsense and have a bit more tact. I'm sure we will hear by tomorrow that the scheduling conflict has been taken care of and Dr. Paul will be present in the debate.

Going off half-cocked against the NH GOP does absolutely no good, especially when there are numerous GOP members in New Hampshire who have been very complimentary toward Ron Paul. They have no desire to exclude him.

It was not Lew that wrote the blog entry, it was Chris Brunner, and even he is not trying to put out his own fire:

Ron Paul to be Excluded from Next Fox News Forum?
Posted by Chris Brunner at 08:08 PM
According to the Associated Press, Fox News will be featuring a forum on January 6 which will include Rudy Giuliani, Mike Huckabee, John McCain, Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson. In an effort to be fair and balanced, the candidate who raised more money in a single day than any politician in American history will not be included.

The 90-minute forum will air live beginning at 8 p.m. ET on the Fox News Channel and on Fox News Radio.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: I'm getting conflicting information about this. Despite what several people were told after calling the campaign, and the list printed by the AP, someone swears Ron Paul was indeed invited.

I will post further information very soon

If this was a AP story .....that totally makes sense since RON'S name is OMITTED from the news generally (unless dealing with crazy, racist, truther or 3rd party themes).

Stop it. As has been stated elsewhere, his name was most likely omitted because he has not confirmed yet. There is a known scheduling conflict that the campaign and NH GOP are attempting to work through.

Not everything is a conspiracy theory.

Dr. Paul IS invited (most likely). Call of the troops.

Here is a post from Jane Aitken on the Daily Paul.

Union Leader Article
On December 28th, 2007 Jane Aitken says:

In this article of December 27th, you can see that it says Rudy's people are not even aware of this OTHER Jan 6th forum in question yet. And Fergus says he hasn't gotten any commitments.

About the first debate:

MANCHESTER – Republican presidential candidates Rudy Giuliani and Mitt Romney yesterday agreed to participate in the WMUR/ABC/Facebook presidential debates just three days before the primary Jan. 8.

They join fellow Republicans John McCain, Mike Huckabee, Ron Paul, Duncan Hunter and Fred Thompson in officially agreeing to the debates scheduled for Jan. 5 at St. Anselm College. The forums begin at 7 p.m.

Now as for the FOX/GOP forum:

Giuliani also agreed yesterday to participate in a presidential debate on the Fox network on Jan. 6, although no debate is currently scheduled. Fox News, with the state Republican Party, had scheduled a Republican debate for that date, but withdrew the proposal when candidates did not commit to the event.

State Republican Party chair Fergus Cullen said the party has been discussing a presidential forum for several months with Fox News for Jan. 6 and has been in touch with all the campaigns about it. "We’ve gotten a favorable response, but that is short of a commitment," he said yesterday.

He said he has noted all along he does not expect the presidential candidates to make a firm commitment to participate in any end-of-the-campaign events until much closer to when they are held.

The state Republican Party has scheduled a presidential forum for 11 a.m. Jan. 6 at the Function Center at Hampshire Hills in Milford. The party’s presidential candidates have been invited to participate in the forum.

OK? So I have been sent a fancy paper invitation to the MORNING EVENT which lists Ron Paul as a participant. But it is a BRUNCH not a forum.

This event will be filmed and then televised. The 90-minute encounter will air live beginning at 8 p.m. ET on the Fox News Channel and on Fox News Radio.

The confusion is, I've read elsewhere that this forum will be held in a conference room at St Anselm's where the Jan 5 debate will be held.
So even the UL seems confused on this. The forum is not at the the brunch, for which I got a paper invite, even though the UL makes it sound like Wallace would be conducting his forum there at 11 AM.

Bottom line is, give it some time until we find out. Sometimes the people answering the phones at HQ do not know about all the events until last minute. Certainly the papers are confused!!!!!!

And I still say that when I discussed this second forum with the GOP, they did NOT advise me that Ron would not be invited.
