Please do NOT CALL or EMAIL the NH GOP

I just spoke with Duncan Hunter guy in NH, and he told me that FOX has come up with the "selection criteria". According to him participants need to pall above 5% nationally, and/or place in top 4 in Iowa. Therefore, this guy said Duncan Hunter has not been ruled out since Iowa did not happen yet.

So Fox is stacking the deck and playing with the American democracy...

Let Fox know that because of this we will now win Iowa, and then perhaps even boycott their "beauty contest"

This is absolutely ESSENTIAL we get Ron Paul to this debate. It is the last one before the New Hampshire primary... a lot of New Hampshire voters will be watching!!

It'll be great if it happens and Ron is there - it's 15 minutes from my house, and only one town over from the Liberty Forum, just as the LF ends with a speech from Ron. :D

Fox news owns the right to their channel. They have a right to be as biased as they choose to be. We have the right to not watch that channel. We have the right to set up a rally next door to their debate and attract a larger crowd than they have.

Property rights are property rights.
THIS is a great idea. Didn't the grassroots/campaign do something like that before, when he was excluded from another debate? And didn't that event bring more media attention than if RP had been in the debate? Also, this Fox debate will be 'moderated' by Chris Wallace, right? Given past performance, he'll do his best to smear Ron Paul.

That was for an Iowa event and the media flat out ignored it. Trust me, it would be better for us to get into the debate then hold our own meeting next door. A lot of new hampshire voters are going to be watching to make their final decision.. if they don't see ron paul there, they might just forget him.

But Paul HAS been invited to the ABC sponsored debate on January 5th at St. Anslem's College???

Ron Paul To Be Extracted From Jan. 6th FOX News Presidential Forum!

Ron Paul to be Excluded from Next Fox News Forum
Posted by Chris Brunner at 08:08 PM

According to the Associated Press, Fox News will be featuring a forum on January 6 which will include Rudy Giuliani, Mike Huckabee, John McCain, Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson. In an effort to be fair and balanced, the candidate who raised more money in a single day than any politician in American history will not be included.

The 90-minute forum will air live beginning at 8 p.m. ET on the Fox News Channel and on Fox News Radio.

UPDATE: The forum is being sponsored by the New Hampshire Republican Party. I'm told that many outraged Paul supports are emailing Fergus Cullen, who is the state party chairman.

AP reported...

GOP candidates to meet in N.H. forum
WASHINGTON (AP) — The New Hampshire Republican Party is sponsoring a forum for Republican presidential candidates on Jan. 6, two days before the state's first-in-the-nation primary.
The forum, where the candidates will be questioned by Fox New Channel's Chris Wallace, will be held a day after ABC holds back to back Democratic and Republican presidential debates.
"Never underestimate New Hampshire voters' appetite for politics," said Fergus Cullen, the chairman of the state Republican Party.
Participating in the forum will be Rudy Giuliani, Mike Huckabee, John McCain, Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson.
Unlike a debate, the candidates will face questions from Wallace around a table in a studio on the campus of St. Anselm College in Goffstown, N.H.. The 90-minute encounter will air live beginning at 8 p.m. ET on the Fox News Channel and on Fox News Radio.

Case closed. He'll be there on the 5th for the ABC/WMUR/Facebook debate.

All candidates accept debate offer from ABC, WMUR

MANCHESTER – Republican presidential candidates Rudy Giuliani and Mitt Romney yesterday agreed to participate in the WMUR/ABC/Facebook presidential debates just three days before the primary Jan. 8.

They join fellow Republicans John McCain, Mike Huckabee, Ron Paul, Duncan Hunter and Fred Thompson in officially agreeing to the debates scheduled for Jan. 5 at St. Anselm College. The forums begin at 7 p.m.

Bartlett said all the major Democratic and Republican candidates’ campaigns have been involved in discussions about the debates.

Democratic presidential candidates who have committed to the debates include Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, John Edwards, Chris Dodd, Joseph Biden and Dennis Kucinich, according to WMUR news director Andrew Vrees.

Giuliani also agreed yesterday to participate in a presidential debate on the Fox network on Jan. 6, although no debate is currently scheduled. Fox News, with the state Republican Party, had scheduled a Republican debate for that date, but withdrew the proposal when candidates did not commit to the event.

State Republican Party chair Fergus Cullen said the party has been discussing a presidential forum for several months with Fox News for Jan. 6 and has been in touch with all the campaigns about it. "We’ve gotten a favorable response, but that is short of a commitment," he said yesterday.

He said he has noted all along he does not expect the presidential candidates to make a firm commitment to participate in any end-of-the-campaign events until much closer to when they are held.

The state Republican Party has scheduled a presidential forum for 11 a.m. Jan. 6 at the Function Center at Hampshire Hills in Milford. The party’s presidential candidates have been invited to participate in the forum.

I may be crazy, but I think it would be better for the movement if Ron is excluded.
His absense would be the elephant in the room, and would speak very loudly about the orchestrated media campaign against Dr. Paul

The message is out, hundreds of hours of it on youtube, let the rest of them pick each other's bones at this lame excuse for a debate.

I think there are many people that doubt the supression of the movement by MSM, the absence of Ron would remove that doubt.

Contrarian, I know....

My guess is he had to decline. If the forum is really at 11am on January 6th and runs for 90 minutes, I don't see how he could make it. He is the closing speaker at the Liberty forum, and the closing ceremony starts at 12 noon: http://www.freestateproject.org/libertyforum/2008/schedule

[Edit] Looks like I was wrong - the forum is airing live at 8pm EST, so he should be able to make it.
