When people count and tally hundreds of thousands of votes, there
are going to be mistakes. We should demand that the count be conducted as accurately as possible. We should look out for things like statistical oddities (as in the case of Sutton) and
politely ask the nice folks to re-check their numbers (which they did). If there's an error, we should expect them to correct it (which they did).
But...
We should
not be making a stink about a statewide recount where it will make absolutely no difference in the outcome. And we should
not continue to harass someone after they've fixed an honest mistake. Hell, she shouldn't have been threatened or harassed in the first place. (Why should I have to say that??)
This gets us (and Dr. Paul, by extension) lovely headlines like today's:
Paul supporters 'freak out' town clerk
Vote-counting flub draws ire, threats
"Threats"... Great job guys.

If you act like this over 31 votes (that were corrected),
you are a fanatic, among other things. But you folks still don't get it.
