Paul supporters 'freak out' town clerk

This women is a public offical and she needs to be called out. If she cant tally 31 votes then she does not be a clerk. For the people who are calling supporters as loons i have one word for you are you for real?? Public officals get called out all the time and this is just another example of some idot public offical who is trying to get away with "fraud". There are now many other districts that have now reported issues with missing votes. One case of missing votes highly doutful. There is now a recount going on and maybe this will shed some light.

right........as someone mentioned above also.....to see a zero and just move along without questioning it......

Why is she the known villain?

It is wrong to make false accusations.

What shred of proof is there that this woman did anything wrong?

Who but a complete idiot would make threats against her?

Who but a coward calls and threatens someone over the telephone?

Sure, the 31 votes matter because they weren't originally counted.

Is anything more important than that the rights of an individual be respected?

This lady doesn't deserve this treatment.

Anything else is beside the point.

I can't seem to get the whole article up but from what this excerpt says, she isn't accusing anyone of threatening her or harrassing her. She said they were rude and screamed at her. Not at all the same thing.

I think everyone's feeling a little sensitive about the potential fraud that took place and also about what happened to Glenn Beck.

I've seen some pretty vicious posts on this board.

We all need to respond to everything we do on behalf of President Paul as if we are spokespersons for the campaign.

She was their guardian, and she let their voice go silent. This happens everywhere such an event happens. Also this article is so askewed, I'm guessing the Monitor employee might also be a close aquaintance,

Sure, I constantly hear that--we're angels and it must be plants from other campaigns.

Yep, I've never read any post full of rage, hatred, payback, etc. on this forum.

Funny, how's come I never hear of other campaigns' supporters pulling ill-advised stunts????

Face it, we are our own worst enemies, too bad you're too full of rage to see it. :(
I don't encourage violence, but whatever it takes to get the job done. We can't count on the MSM to get the word out for us.

...and DO NOT tell me that what I am feeling. It's not like I called you a neo-con sympathizer.

Let me add to that.
How did she find out about the missing votes if the BOXES WERE SEALED?
Who opened them?
Were there party officials present?
Did they sign off the correction?
Why did they sign off if they don't know who did it?
Were there any other missing votes laying around? Did you look?
Did you just pull the 31 votes off the top of your head?
Can we see the proof? Where's the cards now?
The government should be scared of it's citizens' wrath. Don't become an "official" if you think it's going to be all happy, roses and a complete power trip. We can recall you at any time, get used to it. You work for us. You're fired!
If you don't know who did this, then the Secretary of State can't certify this election. Why don't you know? Where is the audit trail?
Does she handle money this way for the government as well? No audit trail, don't know who's got what?
We have to show others that you can't do this anymore, we won't tolerate it, not one vote will be lost, NOT ONE! So get your act together.
It stops here, it stops now!

Just an FYI fro the article:
Ray Duckler can be reached at [email protected]

Take it for what you will but I don't think I ever heard an apology in that article. This is the closest:
"He's (Gill) reading off his results, I'm writing them down on the return," Call said. "I don't know why it was blank. I don't know if he skipped over it or if someone interrupted him to repeat the last name and it got skipped, or maybe I missed it. It was that simple."

I would have liked her to at least say "I'm sorry".

Does anyone every say, "Yeah, we file 13'd Paul's votes. So what? He's a threat to the status quo, and his supporters scare me. I gave it a shot, and got caught. So, sue me"? Does anyone ever say that? No. Just like in prison, everybody is "innocent." "It was just a mistake, a simple oversight. Coulda happened to anyone." That's what you always hear. Well, I'm tired of public officials claiming incompetence as a defense to charges of corruption. There ought to be a special prison for "incompetent" public officials, and if that's "scaring" anyone, you can kiss my hairy @$$!

Seriously listen to this jennifer call, she got busted with either fraud or being a total incompetant moron, what does she do to cover her ass? she is claiming that she is the victim. This is typical behaviour when someone is busted doing something wrong, she is trying to take the focus of her being caught off herself and projecting it onto Paul suporters that called her up on her FRAUD!

Jennifer Call's story isn't panning out is it? If she lied about one thing, she lied about it all.

My apologies, the last statement wasn't meant to be directed at you. :)

Just amazes me to see all the BS here lately. I totally agree with the sentiment and I'm frustrated about things myself, it's just the violence that OTHERS are suggesting is counter-productive and just adds to the lunatic label we have to carry around. :(

Are you suggesting that people should have accountability!!! That is not what the Department of Education is teaching these days ;)

the article conveniently forgot to mention that Ron Paul was shorted a total of 4991 votes, not just the 31 votes mentioned, placing him 4th ahead of giuliani and only 2% behind huckabee.

Obama got ripped too....he conveniently forgot to mention that in his article.

and the diebold machines......he forgot to mention that the numbers on those can be completely hacked, so who really knows what the vote is, unless hand counted paper ballots are used, which will not happen in most all the other states.

Dear Concord Monitor,

Thank you for your article by Ray Duckler on Jan 12, "Paul supporters 'freak out' town clerk Vote-counting flub draws ire, threats". It is very unfortunate that town clerk Jennifer Call had to recieve such abuse. I'm disturbed that she's harrassed in such a way. I'd call and offer her support, but I'm sure she doesn't want any more phone calls on the subject.

However, I don't feel your article gives fair weight to the complaint. Stating "Paul actually got a whopping 31 votes. Out of 920 cast" implies people's votes not being counted is a trivial matter. McCain, Republican with the most votes in Sutton, got a whopping 160 votes out of 920 cast. Guliani got 51. Huckabee 45.

Sutton isn't the only town to have listed results with missing votes. In the town of Greenville: Romney, originally recieving 0, actually got 124. McCain, the head of the pack before the correction, got a whopping 86. Huckabee originally was in second place with 32. Paul, also reported to have 0 votes, actually got 25. Guliani, got 16 total.

In Call's case it might be an honest mistake. But one of the most common forms of fraud in hand counting is to alter or omit results on the reporting sheet. The hand count is transparent. Another reconciliation sheet is filled out, often in front of witnesses, and it looks fine. Then they provide a summary or media sheet with the incorrect results. Someone concerned has only Call's word to go on that there was no fraud involved. Nothing will justify harrasing an innocent woman. But considering contradictions between exit polls and the reported results in NH, it's understandable some people would have questions.

As the article mentions, it was a Paul supporter who caught the mistake. Without people watching, citizens would be having thier votes not count.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this.

Ah,

Wished I knew that before I sent off my email. That's news.

Must have gotten carried away there, for a second. Don't know what I was thinking. I never was a very good student, though, and only attended public school (skew-all? not sure of the spelling) for a short time. So, maybe that's the problem.

you are right, it is very frustrating and we should do the best we can to police the violence others suggest before it happens. Like Iraq, we should not be starting wars.
