I would say any drop under 10% would be cause for panic and urgency. That should be the guaranteed baseline.

Ten percent of what, when, according to which poll, and with seventeen candidates, why?

And as a more general question, since when did the horse leading at the quarter mile post win?

I hope they have a long game. Maybe they do, but I'm not really seeing it. It's one thing to be okay with not leading at the moment, but it's hard to escape the feeling that the campaign is just floundering.

If Rand's campaign is pacing itself, then I really don't see the point of Rand taking such a chance with his aggressive debate performance. That was detrimental to a long term strategy as it greatly damaged Rand's favorability rating. I hope that was just an aberration and that it doesn't happen again.

Why should it be a guaranteed baseline? Ron Paul pulled 10% of the vote in the last election and that was after a lot people dropped out and he stayed in along with a smaller and weaker field with no Democrat running. The liberty base is about 5% and some of those people don't support Rand.

i disagree....for a long game, all you want right now is people knowing your name. his debate performance did that

Rand needs to get out of the dog fight with Trump... He was an idiot to start it, he better finish it "yesterday" . He needs to stay on point, stay on target and pretend Trump doesn't exist. He fell right into the "noobie" trap, being suckered in by an insincere candidate. Trump is having fun, he doesn't intend to win. Rand WAS a force to be dealt with. Now he is getting bitch raped by a guy who is in the game to take him out.

Why Rand?????? Stop it, and stay on point with your message... your plan.... taxes, economy, ISIS, Obamacare ..

Everyone here thinks he "needs" to do something. I personally think he "needs" to identify who his enemies are and go after them. His enemies are the neo-cons and no matter how much he flips flops and bends towards their policies, they will never see him as anything but an enemy. He should just go back to his principles and people will follow. If he gets asked who created ISIS again. His response should be a firm answer. The neo-cons (not the GOP) created ISIS. That will be his Giuliani moment.

Any Time Rand wants to jump into the lead he can simply hold a filibuster about the exceptions to racketeering carved out for the medical industry.

If any of these clowns can come up with something more than just 'We need to repeal Obamacare,' then by all means. But just throwing out the 'repeal' card is really getting old, in my opinion.

nobody can say this is going as planned

if it is then its the stupidest campaign strategy since Rudy in 2008 banking everything on Florida

But all of them do, except for Rand Paul.

Listen more carefully. They all want to repeal and replace it. No doubt with something even worse.
