It appears as if Terry Jones is exposing much more about the US than he is about Islam.

This is such a setup. The irresponsible go to jail, setting precedent for everyone to go to jail, because those who are proclaimed 'credible' and actually have the power to choose what gets spread and what gets squelched are the most irresponsible of all.

That's my view also.

It's patently absurd to hold that the potential for violence is a valid reason to deprive someone of his constitutional right to speak publicly and/or organize a protest. There's a potential for violence any time people speak out in public about any contentious issue.

These protest arrests in California few months ago also set the bar lower for free speech, under Obama it will likely keep going lower as it did under Bush:
