Open your eyes: Huckabee people are on our side...

Today, Mike Huckabee started up "HUCK-PAC, which will enable us to help Senator McCain become our next President, and to assist conservative, pro-life and pro-family candidates to Senate and House seats. The website will not only preserve our online community, but enlarge it and encourage it to be a force for freedom, faith, and family!"

If you think McCain has any chance in HELL of becoming the next US president, you're living in fantasy land. Literally..

He is a democrat, if you look at this POLICIES! How can anyone be so blind!? He's PRO war - the general public wants more war in Iraq... 70%+ growing says NO. He has a greater chance of being elected the Martial Law Candidate of the Year award. Followed by a "I will implement the Draft, so we can be in Iraq for 100 years" medallion.

Furthermore, "preserve our online community" <= LMFAO. The net neutrality issue means squat to you? This is going to be the first place hit, McCain will be going after domestic terrorists. And that means dissedents - and that means Ron Paul supporters..

WAKE UP! FFS. Why are you even here?

I'm surprised Huck PAC said that about McCain... I hope he doesn't help McCain. Like so many people are saying, McCain really doesn't have much of a chance and this will be obvious once the debates start. Besides, many Huckabee supporters don't like John McCain at all... I say put all the support towards congress campaigns.... forget McCain!

Conza, Please note the quotation marks. I was reporting the news, not endorsing, Mike Huckabee's latest move. This is a thread about Huckabee's supporters. I was attempting to provide information of where Huckabee is shepherding his sheeple - straight to John McCain.

I have always been impressed with how sincere and nice the Huckleberries are but they are so pathetically trusting and gullible. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the neocons and the religious right entered the Republican Party at about the same time. The neocons have intelectually dominated the Party ever since by dangling some largely undelivered religious goodies. Rev. Huckabee continues that tradition.

Storm, I know what youre trying to do, and it is great, however Huckabee is not what you make him out to be. From what I have seen, his supporters fall in lock step with him.

He wants to get rid of IRS, an idea he took from RP. However, he also wants to replace it with a flat/fair tax of 28%, which comes out to essentially the same thing. Break it down, do the numbers, youll see, youre just replacing one bad idea, with another. RP wants a flat tax of 0% as well as getting rid the IRS.

Huckabee doesnt want to end the war in Iraq, RP will end it immediately, and bring our troops home. Huckabee doesnt want to leave "without honor" from ending the war. So since he does not even understand what the war is, or is about, there will never be any honor, thus he will never bring the troops home. The war is a war on terror, since terrorism is a tactic, and you cant have a war against a tactic, this shows that Huckabee is clueless as to what this war is really about. If he really wanted to bring our troops home with honor, he would do the same os RP, end the war and bring the troops home. Also, he has no intention of ending our global empire, he will not bring all the other troops home and close those bases, RP will.

As for taxes, Mike is known as Tax Hike Mike for a reason. RP is known as the taxpayer best friend. They are polar opposites.

I havent seen any evidence to show the Huckabee or his supporters are against the Fed Reserve, per se', but at least that is a step in the right direction. The whole flat tax thing is a complete turn off to me though.

The whole thing where he used his power and influence to get his son off the hook for abusing and killing animals is quite a turn off as well.

Him accepting gifts or bribes from lobbyist and corporations is bothersome as well.

The Huckster is a corrupt, pro-War, big government statist,... he is Dr Paul Bizarro.

But if by some strange defiance of logic and reason Huckster backers find appeal in any of Dr Paul's message,... WELCOME!

I joined the F3 Coalition Stormcommander. Those forums probably aren't for these other guys, it isn't something they really accept. And you know what, thats perfectly fine. Thats why we live in America, to have different viewpoints.

I'm going to be there to support conservatism, and perhaps sway a few people into more conservative thinking. I know many Huckabee supporters who believe many of the right things, but they are off in a couple areas. They are much closer to real conservatism than a McCain supporter.

You know, I am a rookie to the political scene, but it really seems like some people are not only rookies to politics but they don't have any common sense either. Just because they don't subscribe to our beliefs doesn't instantly make them completely wrong on every issue. Take the issues you do agree on, and work together. Not only is that part of politics, it ought to be part of every day life.

I like your attitude!

One of the founder's of Huck's Army says that Ron Paul would probably be his second choice. So no... there really isn't much tension between us like there used to be. (If you recall, a lot of us liked Huck as a 2nd choice when McCain pulled ahead as well). And I'm quite sure that Huckabee had the 2nd largest grassroots. Ron Paul easily the first. Probably Obama in the #3 spot.

I have a neighbor that says the same thing.

It's hard to imagine a worse candidate than John McCain, but Huckabee surely fits the bill.

FWIW, the same people that don't like/trust/want us in the party feel the same way about the Huckabee supporters.

I'm sure they have their fair share of people who want to start another fringe third party instead of working towards dismantling the neocon stranglehold.

No, they are not on our side. Do you know what they call Ron Paul on hucksarmy.com ? they don't say very nice things. And I think they're all too old for imaginary friends, so I guess the feelings are mutual.

Huckabee is like Caffeine-free Diet Dr. Paul. Probably the best of the field next to the real thing.

We can either drive people away, or work with people. The choice is yours.

Just because they are strict Christians is no reason to shun them, many within our own ranks are strict Christians too, they just don't want to be hassled by "progressive" politicians, they don't want to force Christianity down all of your throats. Yes, they are pro-war, but so was I not to long ago.

I strongly believe Huck's people will be the most receptive people for our message within the Republican party.

They want less taxation, and a return to the constitution. Believe me, most of my pro-Huck friends jumped on the Ron Paul bandwagon when Huck dropped out.
