One Year Anniversary for the Revolution March!

I was so damn hot that day, but it was worth it.

I went back to the hotel bar and had beers with Michael Sheuer.

I also got to talk to Tom Woods, G. Edward Griffin, Naomi Wolfe, among others....

Did you go to the Book Signing? I'm downloading pics right now of Mike, and Adam Kokesh.

Yes. The book signing was awesome.

I got signed copies of "Who Killed the Constitution", "Marching Toward Hell", and "The Creature from Jekyll Island".

Before (and after) the signing, a number of speakers were mulling about at the hotel bar. It was awesome to have such access to the intellectuals involved with the movement.

RonPaulHawaii and his bro. See a resemblance? ;)

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. That was my hope. I really miss what we were as a movement back then.....:(

Man it was hot that day, thanks for reminding me of the awful sunburn I got :D

There's a story behind this picture. Adam is shaking hands with Ernest Hancock. You may know that Ernie is the guy who came up with the rEVOLution logo. He is also a DJ out of Phoenix and he agreed to be one of our two MCs. He also is the brain behind getting teams together to make signs and post them over freeways and all over towns.

Well, Dr. Paul was scheduled to catch a flight out of town that early evening and we were running about 40 minutes behind schedule. Adam was lined up to speak before Dr. Paul and it was getting hectic, I was told to let the rest of the speakers know that Dr. Paul wanted to get up there and speak and go. I relayed this to Adam. Adam's speech needed to be before NOT after Dr. Paul's so this was a big problem. But, thanks to Ernie doing some fenagling, and Chuck Baldwin being very gracious and willing to give up some of his speech time, we were able to get everyone up in order before Dr. Paul.

Out of all the great speakers we got to meet that day, pastor Baldwin really impressed me. His writings are so fiery and no-holds-barred but meeting him in person I was like "oh yeah his a pastor" because he was so gracious and gentle.

It was a great day. Of course for some of us, that day began about 6 months before hand eh Deb?

Actually less than six months, Oyate, remember? We had our first meeting in Feb. but couldn't really do anything substantial until DC gave us a permit and a date, and that wasn't until around April 12th. Then we decided to wait until after Granny's DC event to announce our date so as not to interfere with her event on the 15th. So, we really only had about 3 months to pull this all together. It was well worth it though.

Awesome Deb

One night I was lying awake in bed, could not sleep (the time when the few good ideas I've had come to me). I was frustrated like many with the direction of our country and more so the fact that a statesmen, a patriot like Dr. Ron Paul was being marginalized and mostly ignored during the primaries. I wondered how can we get everyone together and show support for his run for the Republican nomination as well as support for Freedom. Then the idea hit me, I thought of the name Revoluton March. Got out of bed at 3AM to make sure no one else registered the domain name. The next morning I called my good friend Ray Powell. Told him of the idea, right then and there we registered the name and soon after put up the basic website. After getting the interest in the event, I hosted a conference call where I was looking for volunteers. From this call I meet a person name Deborah (Deborah K if you are a little slow). She was energetic, excited and ready to help. It did not take long for her and I to hit it off and start working together. On a side note, Ray was on a national meet-up group conference call that Dr. Paul was going to be on. In the middle of the call there was this silence while we waited for the next topic. Ray said Revolution March on D.C. and the website address. That night we had over 600 hits to the site and many volunteers coming to us. With these volunteers we found this strange but loveable character we call Oyate. Ray, Deb, Bryan (me), and Oyate formed the initial board of directors. In need of a person to help with Public Relations and communications we soon found Catherine Bleish who now is part of the Liberty Restoration Project. We became brother and sisters for this event. We all worked full time to put this together. We had our times when we wanted to kill each other and our times when we just couldn't imagine a better team. Shortly after the board was put together Deb and I (mostly Deb), put together an organization chart and started organizing our volunteers into committees. One member from each committee was selected to be on the Core Team, this team reported to the board. We had a great core team - Mary Grace C, Michael V, Michael M, Jessica W, Susan W, Veronica C, and Tom P (not sure if they want their last names posted). In just less than 4 months the board and the core team pulled off an event I will never forget. As we worked to get speakers and bands lined up for the event I could not believe the kind of support and excitment we were getting from people like G. Edward Griffin, Thomas Woods, Naomi Wolf, I mean really a couple of ya-hoo's like ourselves are going to get these kind of speakers to the event. Yeah I was stoked! The first band I contacted was PokerFace. Paul was for it without any question. After that we had a big request for Marc Scibilia, so we lined that up. Jordan Page's manager sent me an email that went into a folder with about 15 other bands who wanted to be part of it. After hearing them all and doing some research in the movement it was clear Jordan Page was the choice. Deb worked hard to get the speakers lined up and did a more than great job. That is how it got started in a quick post. I will never forget the event and those I worked with to make it happen!!!
I want to thank all the bands and speakers that participated in this event. They were awesome. I also want thank Ted Anderson and GCNLive for sponsoring the event, without him it might not of happened. Of course all those who volunteered, donated and supported us, you are all awesome!!!

Hey Bryan, thanks for your input. Great post!

Edit: Primbs, who is a member here was a most valued advisor to me! He was our expeditor. He was very instrumental in obtaining our permits, surveying the rally and march locations, and advising on fundraising. Primbs, I have a picture of you too, that I'd like to post.

This thread should not go on without giving credit to the photographer of these pics:

Melies Kish is on the right. Awesome job Melies. I should point out that none of the photos can be mass produced or sold without Melies's permission. Here is her website: kishphotos.dotphoto.com

Edit: For you conspiracy theorists - NO Melies has no idea I even have these up here as of yet. :p

Wells I remember it a bit different from Bryan and Deb. See, there I was minding my own business, being a R3VOlUTIONARY when these bunch of obviously inpept morons come rushing up screaming "we don't know what we're doing, aaaaaaaah" and I was like "relax, calm down, stop screaming, it's de-oxygenating your blood flow".

From there, due to my single-handed but intangible influence, this motley crew of loosers became the crack team of psuedo-professional assassins they are today. Because let me tell you, before I got to this crew, they had no idea what battle formation was or how to form a skirmish line. Their handling of automatic weapons was at best sloppy and they trigger-bashed every time in simulations. But finally we became, by degrees, a competent firing team at least to the squad level.

So now I wouldn't even think about infiltrating a government facility without this crew.

Oh wait, you guys are talking about the march? Never mind. Different action.

You are such a goof, Oyate! In all seriousness, if ever I do another event of this magnitude, I would hope to have you as the logistics officer again. You and your team did a magnificent job of planning. You put together a very loyal and disciplined team and they did their job like pros.

I have a really cool pic of you and your team (as well as a DC officer) escorting Doc Paul out of the staging area. I know you very much value your privacy, but I would love to post it.

Here is our beloved Bryan presenting Doc Paul with a commemorative ticket - the tickets were numbered and the Doc got number 00001 and I got 00002.

I love this picture - look in his back pocket - it's the ticket!

Here are our two MCs - Gary Franchi, Aaron Russo's hand-picked successor to head up Restore the Republic, and one helluva great person. And Ernest Hancock, who I featured earlier in the thread. They did such a great job MCing for us. Thanks guys!
