OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - An Oklahoma lawmaker seems to have found himself in a duel over gun rights.

Last week, State Sen. Nathan Dahm, R-Broken Arrow, filed legislation he's calling the "Piers Morgan Constitutional Right to Keep and Bear Arms Without Infringement Act."

Senate Bill 1473 -- its less colorful title -- would allow anyone to carry a firearm without a license.

"The Second Amendment says the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed, and yet when we require our citizens to jump through hoops, pay fees and undergo a process that presumes they're guilty of something until proven otherwise, their rights are being infringed upon," Dahm said of the proposed legislation.

Places where guns are currently prohibited, such as schools and government facilities, would continue to be off-limits for firearms, but the proposed legislation would allow Oklahomans to carry anywhere else provided their guns are visible in a holster or sling.

The Piers-bating bill managed to garner the attention of its namesake Thursday, with Morgan tweeting Dahm a testy invite to the TV news personality's CNN show.

Kudos to his guest - he gave very sound answers. Note how rude Morgan is - disallowing his guest the full opportunity to answer by cutting him off in his infantile attempts to corner Dahm. Also note how disrespectful Morgan is with his snide condescension and dismissive tone. Piers Morgan absolutely sucks as an interviewer. CNN further embarrasses themselves by having him on.

totally agree! loved the way Senator Dahm 'schooled' him on the Second Amendment quoting it word for word and then explaining to him 'who' the militia really is = us. the only reason for not editing PM out of the video is because it actually exposes him for the elitist British royalist jerk he is.
