I refuse to vote for Romney. So Gary Johnson or Ron Paul? Seems like Johnson would send a stronger message since a write in probably won't be recognized.

I have power over you and I command you to vote Johnson. If you don't, gremlins will kill your family.

I'm voting for Ron Paul. My state is expected to count them (California) but even if they didn't they would count the 'undervote' those who vote and don't vote for a named candidate for president. If the number is large we can spread it around.

I'm not indifferent between Johnson and Ron, I don't think they stand for the same things. If people think they are both about the same, I could see it being a question, but for me that isn't the case.

Register Libertarian, write-in Ron if your state will count your vote. Otherwise vote GJ or whomever you wish except the duopoly.

I'm sorry, I just don't see how writing in Ron Paul is going to do 1 damn bit of difference.

You really think they are going to announce the "undervote" if its a large number? I don't think they won't even mention it, or Ron Paul.
The MSM will be all about convincing the public that the right leader was chosen...

If a 3rd party hits double digits.. they will not be able to suppress that info..
The MSM of other nations would be using it against our new leader, showing his lack of support.

We got dems who don't like obama becuase he lied to them.
We got republicans that cant stand romney.
Now we got ventura making on shows like the view and joy behar talking about voting for anyone other than the R/D.

I'm telling you, 2012 could be the perfect storm to make a viable 3rd party out the the LP.

YOU don't need to see how it makes a damned bit of difference. I could say the same about voting for GJ. But talking about MY vote, I will vote for the one I want, and GJ does absolutely nothing for me.

You are welcome to vote for him, however, of course.

I'll vote for who ever the hell I want to vote for. Nobody is going to tell me who I should vote for.

I'm boycotting the election, because I'm done playing games. The US Presidential Elections are no longer anything to be taken seriously after the American people once again crapped on a man who would have saved this country and perhaps even the world through example.

I completely understand the sentiment. I'm lucky, in PA they count the write ins. I just don't think 1200 undervotes have the same impact as 1200 for another candidate, no matter who it is, as long as it's not Romney or Obama.

What an un-Dicklike thing to say.

I wish we all would vote the same so there could be a record of how many people are in the liberty movement I think it would encourage others to think outside the 2 party system..

Virgil Goode

I took another look at him yesterday (he's on the ballot in VA) mainly because the MSM has made some hay out of the fact that he might be able to draw enough votes to secure an Obama win in VA.
But I can't vote for Goode. He's a typical Constitution party candidate: a super-Republican, interested in following the pseudoconstitution which enshrines the apostasy of the faux-Christian state-god and wants to kick all the brown people out of the country.

I'll probably write in Paul. I may do what I normally do, which is to show up and intentionally cast a blank ballot.

Depends what state you're in. Some states allow write ins so you could vote Ron Paul in those.

If you're not in one of those states, then I guess Gary Johnson...

Hmm. Today is the first day of early voting here. After the RNC, I decided to vote Gary Johnson. I checked in here to see if anyone presented a compelling reason against casting a vote for him and to see if there was major consensus for another candidate. Seeing none, I'll probably be voting Johnson later today.

The topic of a write-in for Ron Paul has come up IRL. I think there will be more than a few folks around me who take that route. I'm basing my vote on Dr Paul's suggestion from 2008. That said, I didn't take that suggestion then. I wrote in Ron Paul. Eh, herding cats. I didn't like Bob Barr, and I'm not religious so the Constitution Party doesn't appeal to me. Johnson isn't my dream candidate, but he's an improvement over Barr. I'll vote for him.

I was going to vote for Johnson. But more and more I'm leaning against it.
