If nobody else will do it, I will. FUCK YOU, FRANK. I remember seeing the video of him being chased in NH with snowballs. What a time to be alive.

My overall thoughts on the debate: DeSantis got kid gloves quite a bit and didn't really go after anyone, and no one went after him. Lots of people going after Vivek and speaking over him. Definitely got Ron Paul vibes there but unlike Dr. Paul, he broke the rules and went after them right back.

For me, Vivek definitely won the night. DeSantis did better than I expected. I think Vivek ruined both Pence and Christie's numbers with the thrashing he gave them. Nikki Haley showed her true colors with the "women" and "war" comments. She wants to cut spending and borrowing but wants to send more money to Ukraine AND increase spending on the border? Madness, Neocon all the way.

The first televised presidential debate was Kennedy v. Nixon. Polls afterward said those who watched on TV said Kennedy won, and those who listened on the radio (no TV, at work, multitasking) said Nixon won (Nixon had a deeper voice than Kennedy).

Ramaswamy is having some trouble with coming across as genuine, yes. And it's no wonder that we can't get a serious debate, because nobody has had any respect for the way the public reacts to any of it from the first.

The guy with the deeper voice and the five o'clock shadow won and lost the same debate depending on if you asked the radio or TV audience. Gee, why can't we get these psychos to actually inform us in these debates, instead of posturing?

Little Danny (see note above about being on a first name basis with every famous person who ever lived, do tell us more about carousing with Humphrey and Lauren), your buddy Vivek (Mr. Ramaswamy to all us poor unfortunates) made a mistake. If you're a Republican, you don't say repeal and replace.

You don't have to. People know if you can ever possibly eliminate one tax, all the rest will go up. Just say, get rid of it. We know it won't save us money, but if it makes the tax code less of a Maze of Entrapment, that's a selling point.

Why I think Trump is controlled oppo, reason #2,487: F.U.Frank Lutz is calling every person who responds to him with something other than, "Baa-aaa-aah" a Trump supporter, whether they are or not. The "master pollster" doesn't even stop to ask.

He's telling people which team they're on. He isn't asking; this is a "pollster" who has always had a "Don't ask, tell" policy. If you refuse to define yourself according to their definitions and put yourself in one of their categories, they'll pretend like you do. It's pure psychology.

If you disagree with F.U.Frank Lutz you are a Trump Supporter. Doesn't matter if you support Trump; that has nothing to do with the definition. Now, do tell us again how all this is just because he's Too Famous To Ignore. They aren't trying to divide and conquer the "political opposition". They're trying to drive us all into the Trump Corral. And if we escape from the Trump Corral, they'll lie and say we really are in the Trump Corral.

Sure, kids, they do that to candidates they hate every cycle... :rolleyes:

Trump needs to be worried. Vivek is a real threat to him but great for Americans.
 
Re: inheritance tax/Vivek (I didn't watch debate, just read some thread comments on it)

Keep in mind that eliminating inheritance is one of the few remaining planks of the communist manifesto that hasn't been achieved yet. Trading the already voluntary income tax for a mandatory inheritance tax increase (which I'd guess would be a huge increase) accomplishes that.

He hits on good points but I still disagree with some of his "solutions".

Also, it is pretty disingenuous to claim that he is the "only one" talking about climate change (and other issues). RFK Jr. actually gets to the meat of it:
