**OFFICIAL** BASEBALL THREAD

Nine in a row , up 6 to zero after 4 innings , was over then. Last three games , given up five runs total, we can win a bunch more if we keep that up :)

Only given up 487 runs in 133 games , not bad , bats are starting to come around a bit...

Looks like we may lose one today , I see that AL East is tightening up today ...

I said at the beginning of the season, the O's were gonna make a run, but honestly they have been right there the whole time. I keep looking up expecting to see the yanks, but my view is blocked :(

Braves win today after an amazing walk off win last night.

We finally decided to sit the most overpaid second baseman in the game down, and we've called up some serious young talent, so it should be an interesting stretch run. Watch your six Washington!

That Orioles magic is heating up after a long drought! The AL East could have the O's and Yanks sharing 1st after tonight!

Full disclosure: I am a rabid O's fan.

GO RAYS!

Prediction: Orioles will win the division and Rays will pass Yankees and snag a wild card spot.

I suppose , it , may be possible , the A's have a very , very tough remainng schedule , it is also possible the O's could be in record setting area here , how are they so good ? Will they be the first team I can think of to win a division , while allowing more runs than they have scored ??

O's won Sat. but the NY player says:
({After watching replays that clearly showed his head-first slide beat the relay, Teixeira questioned the umpire crews' integrity.})

"Sometimes you wonder if the umpires are just trying to get out of there," said Teixeira, who had argued a strike three call in the eighth. "They don't want you to make a comeback. They want to go home because those were terrible calls. It is what it is. We are out there fighting. I'm out there playing on one leg. I wish it had gone my way."

New York Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira
