OFFICIAL 10/9/2016 Presidential Debate Thread

If I were advising Hillary, I'd tell her to keep questioning Trump's temperament to be Commander-in-Chief.
If I were advising Trump, I'd tell him to talk to the camera and say, "yeah, I'm a crude bastard, but I'm the only thing standing between you and open borders and open trade. Don't let the fact that I'm a despicable shit head be the reason you throw the country away."

It's the only play both of them have.

But, I expect it will be a draw with Trump taking a bit of the lead. Really, that's the way you get people to tune into the finale. And that's what this is really all about.

If he listens to Christie, he will talk to the camera tonight.

Trump held press conference w/Broderick, Jones, etc

Trump just held a short press conference with several of those women -
Paula Jones, Juanita Broadrick, Kathleen Wiley(?) and Cathy Shelton (the woman who was raped as a child and Hillary got her rapist off.)

What next?

edit: Haha He invited the media saying it was a photo-op of his pre-debate prep. They had no idea these women would be here.

edit: He also invited them to be his guests at the debate - They'll be out in the audience.

LOL I just saw a "normal" Trump ad running during 60 Minutes, with nothing about Mexican rapers or Muslim terrorists.

Instead he offers free stuff like child care.

My cynicism tells me that if people actually cared about real policy, we'd have two entirely different candidates up there.

And my cynicism tells me that if people actually cared about real policy, we might actually have 2 entirely worse candidates up there. Hard to believe, but there it is...

I don't see him going into the gutter, he may be doing what Rand did to him before one of the debates.

I'm not making any wagers on what will happen, but your advice to the candidates is spot on, with a little different wording of course.

Polarization is a Clinton scheme - all is swell tho

He punked the press again. They didn't learn from the veterans testimonial. Frackin journalist are so predictable. Like a marlin hitting a cockpit teaser. It is impossible for them resist it.

This is gonna be fun - Trump advised to hold back in the first debate - . . .

Watch the CSPAN broadcast for the pre-debate stuff the MSM doesn't broadcast.

Tonight's debate is sponsored by Anheuser-Busch...

(commence drinking games!)

I just saw the Clintons arriving to the debate. Bill had that sad look on his face - you know the one politicians always wear when they just got caught having an affair, or seeing hookers.

I was serious though. The debate literally is sponsored by a foreign company, Anheuser-Busch.

I know - beer festival weekend in Colorado but I drink a German import by choice

Oh THAT look . . .

Whose North American headquarters happens to be located in the city hosting the debate, as well as one of the region's largest employers. It would have been more honest to have the debate sponsored by the SEIU local instead.
