I've been listening to this for god knows how long. I have taken one thing out of it.

Obama will kick the living shit out of Huckabee, or Mccain. Period.

Ron Paul was the only one who could have competed with this guy. And the GOP marginalized him, they laughed at him on national TV. After I vote for ron paul in the general, I will never, not ever vote for the GOP again.

I cannot believe how unbelievably stupid the GOP is.

absolutely.

Obama is going to be HARD to beat. That's why some of us (who live in very liberal areas) think the VP should be someone I won't bother to mention here.

did Obama actually say anything or did he just talk about 'change' and a 'new movement in america' and the need for 'a new and clear direction that reaches out to everyone all over this great land' (woohooo)

I had to turn it off
he is RETARDED on economics
RETARDED

Yea, RP could take Obama on the Iraq war, Patriot Act, and spending...not to mention RP would get the "Christian right"...Obama would be shown the liberal and fake he is.

RETARDED

Of course he is, but so are the vast majority of americans.

I nearly swallowed my beer bottle when he said "i'll raise the mninmum wage every year to keep up with inflation".........rofl, BWHAHAHAHA he does that shit he'd have to raise it every day.

The Rezko scandal is going to get much worse at the end of the month. Clinton will be the nominee.

Exactly, I heard that shit too
And people eat that up
When you dont know anything of economics, it sounds perfectly reasonable. Hey, higher mandated wages, less poor people! right?

It's pretty sad when a slick-Willy politician speaking whatever nonsense Obama is saying -- a lot of words with no meaning and no substance, except for some nebulous promise of change that sounds an awful lot like socialism -- garners legions of adoring zealots.

I'm sure plenty of people think Paul's zealots are creepy, but at least we believe in something specific. Those who go gaga over Obama want change -- and that's the extent of it. No elaboration on what exactly that change is supposed to be, except possibly some Cuban-style health care system that we can't possibly afford.

I couldn't figure out what he intends to do---other than transform the world, that is, preferably using my money.

Please rephrase to make it clearer what you meant about the Cuban-style health care system that we can't afford.

They have great doctors, and more for every person than here in the US. Just no money for medicines.

Ah, that was a little hyperbole on my part. He wants socialist-style universal health care which is obscenely expensive. I just picked Cuba to reinforce the socialist cred that Obama has.

The GOP is stupid now, but we can fix it. Which is why you shouldn't say you'll never vote for it again.

Like a typical Obama voter, I didn't listen to the speech or read any of the posts in this thread, and so is he still for Change? I like Change because it's different from what we have now Obama 2008!!!!

Excuse me while I watch Obama Girl another 100 times

RP vs Obama would not be pretty.
Obama is a really really great speaker. Ron Paul is not.
Obama would speak, the people would be entranced, they would cheer when he finishes. Ron Pauls would step up to the mic, he would look like a frail looking old man (fallowing obama), he would stumble through his speech, using terms people have no clue about, scaring the crap out of them with truth. When Ron Paul got done talking most of the crowd would look like dear in headlights. :p

::yawn::

That line doesn't work any more man... Obama has his positions, just like Paul does. This speech was moving - regardless of specific policy or lack there of - Paul could've used a little of Obama mojo if you ask me... Ron Reagan certainly approached public speeches like Obama...

But yeah.. all the right-wing-libertarians can still hold their noses in the air due to their overwhelming moral superiority over the many masses of people who simply want change, and a better america... (which of course, dr. Paul would've provided for, if he only had the talent around him to make something of the 30million we sent his ass)

I wasn't making a judgment about the quality of doctors in a socialist medical system versus a free market system (although I'd argue that the U.S. probably has among the best doctors in the world at some of the elite medical institutions such as Johns Hopkins). I was saying that Obama has socialist tendencies, and if you care about freedom one iota, you have to reject all the wealth-redistribution aspects of socialism on principle -- and socialized health care definitely falls into that category.

Realistically speaking, the GOP won't be fixed for a long, long time. And after this election, they will be in a very bad way.

In the meantime there is us. And we are ignored, marginalized, denegrated, and laughed at. And we are the ones screaming at the top of our lungs for some to listen to us, becaase what we are saying is true. Most of it isn't nice, most of it isn't pretty, but all of it, is true.

What i probably should have said was, "I will only vote for classic libertarian consevative types" But I am not going to lie and say that I have any party loyalty anymore. I've always voted republican, in every election. I will never be so blind again.

I was watching his speach he is a spectacular speaker it is very easy to get caught
up with him. Barack is like Charisma on steroids very well dressed and smooth as silk. It's too bad his approach is socialist when it comes to voting on bills and the
thing that bothers me most is he's a constitutional lawyer and knows better. If he gets the Dem nod which I think he will. If the DNC tries to throw the super delegates to Clinton they will tear the building down. No republican will beat this guy only Ron could seriously have a chance or even match him for the constitution and knowledge
