His mother would have needed to have been 16+5= 21 years old, at the time of Barack Obama’s birth for him to have been a natural-born citizen.

Naturalized citizens are ineligible to hold the office of President. *** Though Barack Obama was sent back to Hawaii at age 10, all the other info does not matter because his mother is the one who needed to have been a U.S. Citzen for 10 years prior to his birth on August 4, 1961, with 5 of those years being after age 16. Not to mention Barrack Hussein Obama is not his legal name....I guess that is one way to get around his oath of office.

That citation has to be the most retarded thing I've read. The section of the law that the "rocket scientist" is yammering about pertains to American children born abroad. But unless he is lying about his age, Obama was born in Hawaii, 2 years after it was a state. His mother could be a martian and he would still be a natural born citizen, because he was born on US soil.

The U.S. grants what we call birthright citizenship (something Ron Paul is trying to have changed, I should add.) The Citizenship Clause of AMENDMENT XIV of our Constitution states:

"All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside."

Barack Obama is a US citizen because he was born in Hawai'i. And no, he was not naturalized -- he was natural-born. Read Constitutional Topic: Citizenship as similar provisions apply to Sen. McCain.

What the law the article is describing seems to apply to children of at least one American citizen who were born outside of the United States. If Sen. Obama was actually born in Kenya then you'd have a case. However, that is extremely unlikely. See also: Obama's Panama

Senator Barry Goldwater, who ran for president in 1964, was born in the Arizona Territory in 1909, before statehood. Was he "born in the United States"? The authors believe that under early American common law, and given the Congressional intent underlying the Fourteenth Amendment, that "Senator Goldwater was probably safe in seeking the presidency." (Emphasis added). So too, they conclude, for anyone born in Alaska before January 3, 1959 or Hawaii before August 21, 1959 - their dates of statehood, respectively.

Actually Arnold Schwarzenegger might be a good president.. in the opening scene of Milton Friedmans "Free to Choose" video, Arnold gives lots of praise to Milton Friedman and he really seems to be a supporter of the freedom message (small govt and free market). Waldheim had always maintained that he had served in the Wehrmacht only briefly and that after being wounded early in the war, he had returned to Vienna to attend law school. In fact, Waldheim had resumed military service after recuperating from his injury and had been an intelligence officer in Germany's Army Group E when it committed mass murder in the Kozara region of western Bosnia. (Waldheim's name appears on the Wehrmacht's "honor list" of those responsible for the atrocity.) In 1944, Waldheim had reviewed and approved a packet of anti-Semitic propaganda leaflets to be dropped behind Russian lines, one of which ended, "enough of the Jewish war, kill the Jews, come over." After the war, Waldheim was wanted for war crimes by the War Crimes Commission of the United Nations, the very organization he would later head. The voters will need to cast a vote for whomever is standing, that is how it will help Paul. This is exactly the kind of thing Paul sited as a possible happening either to McCain or any of the candidates and was his reason for staying in the race.

As far as being born in a territory before it was a state, don't be too sure, both of his parents WERE NOT US CITIZENS when he was born.

If he has nothing to hide then why is he hiding his birth certificate? The truth is, he was a bastard, his parents never married. There is no telling where he was born if you read about his mother, it could have been on the side of the road in Rhodesia or Bumchuck Egypt.
