What if RP went on a 100 stop national speaking/campaign tour right now...

He would go on a rant and implore all of the people to rise up against the Fed, deficits, and bailouts. And to make demands from their Congress. People can be swayed right now. They don't think the system is working. Many people are just now discovering RP and are bummed that they missed the campaign from last year. A lot of people would turn out and I think there would be media coverage. He might be able to turn the national sentiment in to a much bigger Ron Paul Revolution.

The idea would be that it is a "campaign" for specific policy and exposing the fraud of the current government. However, it may also have the side effect of RP polling at 35% come 2011.

Thoughts?

I've suggested something similar on several occasions. 100 engagements might be a bit much would be a bit much, what with his Congressional duties.

What I've suggested is a series of regional rallies sponsored by the C4L. What we would be aiming for is an attendance of about 1,000 and instead of holding these in the major metro area, I'd be looking at some of the mid-sized cities - population about 250, 000 to 500,000 - but drawing from the surrounding states. These rallies would be much smaller than Minneapolis, with only 3 or 4 speakers in addition to RP.

I'd like to see at least 6 of these for 2009 - more if it could be pulled off.

I don't think the people are ready. It will take a while and things have to get a lot worse.

Maybe we could do this in our communities. There's got to be at least one of us in every county that is a willing and articulate speaker.

ABSOLUTELY!

ONLY if Ron Paul gets a top rated Marketing/Sales firm to advertise this tour... hit all major university campuses, Federal Reserve demonstrations locales, TV news stations, organizations, visit the CBOE in Chicago with Rick Santelli, NYMEX and a gold standard, of course a BIG Wall Street DEMO too!

Oh, and not the Amateurs that ran his presidential campaign.
