Now Peter Schiff Named Economic Advisor to Ron Paul 2008

How much salary are they drawing? Why not just let them endorse RP and be done with it? Why are they "advising" Dr. Paul? Makes no sense to me.

I hope they are "advising" for free we can't afford any more outrageous salaries. We already are paying too many people outrageous amounts for what I'm not sure. Then they skimp on the quality of the tv ads and spends tons on the air time to air substandard ads. Now which of the high paid staff came up with that bright idea?

These guys ARE advertisements. Having their names behind Paul's message is of tremendous value. Now there's more than just him saying it, and there's more time available to be spent talking about it, while he's free to be on the ground in states campaigning. This isn't about them advising him, this is about them giving interviews for him. Endorsements that keep going and going and going...

This is EXACTLY what several of us in the grassroots who have a few connections told the campaign they needed to do after we saw what was going wrong in NH. We need major endorsements and we need them stumping. We were told we were heard, and I'm glad to see it appears to be true. (We also told them to get Rand Paul doing interviews for the same reason... have you checked the campaign site's schedule lately?)

SWEET! RP is in for the long haul baby and now he can start throwing out these boys to bat for him on TV....grrrrrr...let's tear them up!!!!

a little background - if you will

RP is brilliant - He got two that will argue - these are not YES MEN

He is getting the best of both worlds - RP will be able to bring everyone together...Look at this

Schiff Vs. Luskin - An Ugly Draw
Posted on 07/03/2007 20:45:55 | Link | Post Comment
After listening to the effervescent Bob Pisani's absolutely giddy description of the triple-digit gain in the Dow yesterday, Peter Schiff was almost declared the winner over Donald Luskin in yesterday's CNBC face-off, but, in the end, it was just an ugly draw.

The video is available at both of their websites - the quality is much better at Schiff's Europac site but there's follow-up commentary on Luskin's blog.

This discussion (if you can call it that) actually does a good job at capturing the debate between bulls and bears on the near-term fate of both the U.S. economy and equity markets - no clear winners, both sides have good points, but neither side is interested in what the other side has to say.

Kind of like politics.

hey guys, not to be a downer but, will this actually get some media attention? And will they go on shows talking about dr. Paul? I mean it's a great endorsement but we all know the media treatment so why would it be different with these guys? Maybe i've gotten too cynical...

I don't think they "hate" each other, but disagreements are good, discussions are good also, which means things get fleshed out. So, these two will rock as campaign assets. Peter Schiff has been supportive of Ron Paul for awhile, I'm not real sure of Luskin. But, I know these two will show their worth I'm sure.

His father was a tax protester - BIG difference!! His father exercised civil disobedience (which Dr. Paul encourages) and took his case to court and they railroaded him.

Yep, I believe in the case of Irwin Schiff the judge was quoted as saying "I WILL NOT ALLOW THE LAW IN MY COURTROOM!"

That quote should explain a lot.

I think this is all part of the strategy.

Ron has already done much of the hard work. In the face of ridicule and laughter he stood up for conservatism. In the debates and elsewhere he stood up for the rule of law, for the free market, for limited government, for peace, for the Bill of Rights. In other words, he stood up for us.

And, whatever poll or early primary results say, a lot of Republicans are with Ron on these things. But they've been told repeatedly he's a "longshot", "wasted vote", "kook" or "in the wrong party". When the media have attacked him in this way, they've really been denigrating the American people.

But, somewhere in the minds of many ordinary Republicans, Ron planted the seeds. Ron clearly arguing for the Constitution and the Founding Fathers, for national independance, for the right to bear arms in the face of bullying liberals, Hillary Clinton, John McCain and the UN, for a foreign policy of peace - these things will have been left in their minds. People, instinctively, for many it's nothing more than that, agree with Ron on these things.

So where does this leave us? Candidates dropping out - including the only other sort-of conservatives and people are left to choose from a group of big government liberals/warmongers ... suddenly many will recall that one guy who said the things they believe and know to be true and was shouted down. But... here are the economic advisors they trust endorsing him. Better results in primaries. Money being spent. More endorsements. I think this is how Ron's going to play it. It will leave us with wrecked nerves but it's the result at the end of the game that matters, not half-time.

Ron Paul for the long haul!
Ron Paul or not at all!

This makes me happy.

Dr. Doom! The media calls him Dr. Doom!

Schiff is a genius but the media calls him Dr. Doom!

Now we have Dr. No and Dr. Doom! This is starting to sound like a James Bomd movie! lol

this is news that got my heart going. best news since tea party

+1 for the James Bond reference.

the Federal government is the fraud

The father of one of your economic advisers in prison for tax fraud...

No, Irwin Schiff is in jail because he wants to EXPOSE the INCOME TAX FRAUD. Please do not assume that our justice system is fair... or that our laws abide by the Constitution ( often not the case ). The income tax is a fraud, and the fact that courts have "upheld" it is a solid indication that THEY are fraudulent as well.

JAIL for Judges
