No One but Paul on February 17th has just been blown up by the Official Campaign. Matt Collins has a thread, "Bailout Freedom Mega Money Bomb, Valentine's Day" February 14th.

Sadly, the Campaign really is making alot of mistakes with Ron being away from South Carolina for 4 critical days last week and now the total lack of consideration for what the Grassroots is working on!!!

This needs to CHANGE FAST MATT!!!!

Actually he was working with the grassroots, which originally decided ont he bailout theme. The campaign didn't expect us to change our minds.

I propose that we go with the campaign's theme, and have 'No One But Paul' material on the page.

I've already done work on the website for the bailout theme, because I was the developer contacted for that. I'll be sure to post up my stuff on it soon.

"Bailout for Freedom" was much more inviting.

However, this is what we decided on, so, let's promote it the best way we can and be creative.

I still don't understand why we can't do two on the same day - if the money is all going to the same place??

We are the grassroots - we can do both?! The money still all goes to the campaign - why does it matter if there's two ways to get there?

We can do two but if we are going to get it all over facebook and twitter bomb then a unified theme will be more powerful and not confusing to people. I think it's easy for us RPF folks to assume that everyone who supports Ron Paul is as "in the loop" as we are but that isn't the case and if we want people to feel like they are part of something and have the media know what to cover a single unified theme is best. Tea Party and 5th of November were big because if they were mentioned or youtubes were made everyone was on the same page. I have no problem with the idea of competing moneybombs but in practice it muddies the marketing.

Also, when it comes to No One but Paul..incorporating some no one but paul valentines and such in the grassroots marketing on V-Day would be great but I don't want to steal the thunder from the NOBP folks if they still want to run that in March so would be interested to hear what they have to say.

A unified theme is needed. I liked no one but paul better, but this one is just as good AND the campaign can use it without looking cocky.

I just think we can encompass more people with differing themes. *shrug* Think of it like direct marketing. One will appeal to a certain block moreso than the other.

I don't see them as "competing" I see them as both going to the campaign.

We need to unify and blow this thing out of the water. Even when bailout was the consensus a lot of folks wanted something for Valentine's Day and No One but Paul, even with a twist can come across as cocky if the campaign promotes it right before Super Tuesday.

Let's get our thinking caps on and make this amazing!!!

It's Time, message me your facebook name so I can make you admin.

Yes we can come together, but again as I said earlier in this thread, the Campaign has not had good week and this is just another example.

Now with that said.....let's move on and solve this mess.....

This seems like a better solution than dueling-money bombs, if we have to go with Bailout for Freedom I think a unified theme is the way to go.

Just on a personal note: I usually, seriously, could care less about wording because it's a moot point... but bailout really irks me. That word specifically has extremely negative connotations. Most of us absolutely despise the whole idea of bailouts, so why would we want to bailout anything? It gives me the impression that the campaign is either losing the race or severely in debt, and I don't understand the appeal. But that's just my 2 cents.

They aren't the ones who thought of the name Cyber, we did over a week ago here on RPF. We figured the knee jerk reaction to bailout plus the very true fact that freedom is what is in most jeopardy right now could give us something powerful. You'll notice too that the campaign has decided to eliminate the "for" so it is clearly Bailing Freedom out and not bailing Ron Paul out.

End the Bailouts Money bomb! jk bailing out freedom and NOBP combined actually sounds pretty good, combining the two messages.

And we can't forget that they are holding it on Valentine's day. That alone gives us a lot of fun avenues we can use to soften and otherwise urgent message and make it catchy for newer supporters.
