Wow. What a great game last night! I really think that was the best game of this NHL season. Those guys worked their asses off all night, there were lots of scoring chances and the goaltenders were amazing. What more could you ask for?! Well, maybe the outcome could have been better... But still, I'm glad I watched that game!

Addtionally, I've always known Jagr is all world, all time.....but wow what an incredible pick up for the Bruins.

He's not producing a ton of points in the playoffs, but he controls the play so well. Makes everyone around him better. Dictates the pace of play.

I actually think based on what they paid for each player, the Bruins were blessed that Iginla chose the Pens.

Eating crow, today, with a smile on my face.

Didn't find out about the Pens sweep until about 2 hours ago.

Burkie and Nonis' retool/rebuild is looking real nice right now.

This was a year with only two truly stacked teams in the East. Boston and the Pens. As a Leafs fan I see the Bruins regularly and they are one of maybe 7 real "barometer" type of teams.

I'm comfortable saying only 2, maybe 3, of those teams are in the East.

It took a frikkin miracle for the B's to get past the Leafs and they have since steam rolled the East.

Toronto ices a roster between the youngest and 3rd youngest team in the league, night in, night out, for the last 4 and a half seasons.

This team is hella fun to watch and they nearly stopped the hearts of at least the 2nd best team, potentially the Cup winners, of this season.

Very pleased with the progress of this rebuild.

Kessel/Kadri/Gardiner/Reimer/Phaneuf/JVR/Lupul is a ludicrously talented core. What needs to happen is a #1 center.

It was Krecji and Bergeron that did the most damage to TOR. The former offensively, the latter defensively. Both C of the #1 type of caliber.

As a Leafs fan. I. Miss. Mats. Sundin.

I don't even really know why you would think I was being an ass. The # of neg reps I get is hilariously low and I was just being calculated in my assessment, not emotional.

That's not being an ass. It's making 2 plus 2 = 4.

Chicago-Boston final!

Two really, really good teams.

If the Hawks are a bit latargic and don't move their feet like they know how too, the Bruins will win. If the Hawks get moving, the Bruins will struggle.

Nothing plays in the favor of the Bruins like a slow, on the wall style. The games that TOR used their strengths (skating, skill) they beat the Bruins. The games the Leafs slowed down, the Bruins ate them alive.

The Hawks are better than TOR, so if they move their feet and can be accurate with their passing - they win.

Hawks in 7.

Whinning does not retract from skill/dominance. It does, however, retract leadership qualities and "C" viability.

Crosby is by far the best player in the world right now, and arguably the best player to have ever played the game. He's got the 4th highest points per game average in the most defensive era in NHL history. If he had been playing in the 80s he'd be in the 300 points per season range.

He's won everything there is to win:

Olympic Gold
Stanley Cup
Art Ross
Hart Trophy
Lester B. Pearson Award
Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy
Mark Messier Leader of the Year Award
NHL - All-Rookie Team
He won every single award he could in junior and smashed records there.

Just look at his NHL stats. He even led his team in scoring 2 seasons ago, despite only playing 41 games. He was 3rd in scoring this year despite missing a third of the season. He's the youngest captain to win the Cup. He scored the winning goal in the gold medal game in Vancouver 2010....

Anyone who thinks he's not the best player in the NHL (and the world) is just delusional.

He's 26 now.

What he has accomplished has been done as a teenager and a very young player in the league.

He may have 1-2 seasons of extreme high scoring left in him, usually guys SCORE the most between 21-27...but they round into full/complete form a bit later.

Gretzky's highest scoing years were before the age of 27.

He's actually still 25, turns 26 in August. If he can stay healthy he still has 8+ years of 100+ point seasons left in him. Just look at St. Louis who is 38 and still an elite player. If Crosby can stay healthy he'll be like that.

The kid has won everything he can win, and he's going to win more. If he retired today, he'd be inducted into the Hall of Fame, that's how good he is.
