For you NHL fans;

I am a Toronto Maple Leafs fan.

This city is about to go effing bonkers. First time in the playoffs in 9 years.

Prediction; Pens-Hawks final.

If Crosby is in the lineup - Pens win in 7.

BUMP!

DIRTY DIRTY BRUINS. Ference should get 3-4 games for that elbow to the head.

Pens steam rolled the Islanders - don't think anyone will stop the pens, especially once Crosby is good to go.

PS:

I. Hate. Boston.

I want the Penguins to crash and burn. Along with the Rangers, Red Rings, Bruins, and the Hawks.

Rooting for the Islanders and the Wild to take it all.

I like the Wild.

I'm of the opinion that Zach Parise is a top 10 forward on the planet. All world, no doubt.

I can't bring myself to root for the Islanders. Outside of the fact that they are in the same Conf as my Leafs - Wang is the worst owner in the history of the NHL. What a shame that Tavares got drafted to that team.

Crosby is the Pinultimate hockey prototype. I am envious that they have the 2 best centers in the world. Crosby/Malkin.

The only team that can stop them this year, I think, are the Hawks. Toews is one of very few players that can match up against anyone in the world - including Crosby/Malkin.

Oh come on. Crosby and Malkin as the two best centers in the world?

You're smoking that NHL Network ganja.

I hope the Islanders win tonight, and you eat your words :)

I have never watched the NHL Network. Not once.

Datsyuk and Toews are pretty much the only comparable centers. Datsyuk is unbelievable, there's no one like him.

Malkin is a beast and Crosby is what every hockey player that has ever played the game strives to be.

Also, as a Philly fan, I think you are genetically predisposed to hate Crosby/Malkin.

I'm not a Pens fan at all. I hope they get knocked out - that does not cloud my vision from seeing that they have the best 1-2 punch down the middle in the history of the NHL.

I loathe the Pens for their draft luck (Crosby lottery win).

Holy shit Ryan Suter played over 41 mins in game 1 for the Wild!!!!!

Over 10 mins per period. He was on the ice over 50% of the game. Unreal.

My apologies, it must be the NBC Network you watch (Nothing But Crosby).

I am one to admit when my rival teams have great players (Lundqvist is a beast in the net, as is Brodeur). Crosby is good, but he's no where near the best centers of the entire NHL. I also have no respect for a player who constantly harasses the refs for calls.

Being a Flyers fan has nothing to do with it, and if you know NHL fans, you know we attack our own worse than we attack our rival team's players.

I'm Canadian. I don't get American broadcast for hockey.

OH - I don't have cable TV. So wrong again :-).

Ya Philly fans need to lay off your goalies. Get some defence. It's not Bryzgalov the problem - it's team defence.

Also, harrassing the refs is not a negative on the quality of the player.

Points per game and plus/minus pretty much indicate Crosby is the best player by a country mile. There's also that thing...ummm...WINNING.

Wins everywhere he goes while leading the team in scoring...

And there is the...GOLDEN GOAL.

Twas fitting to see Parise tie that game late and Crosby win it in OT.

Parise and Crosby are champion blood. Would love to see USA-CANADA Olympic final in Sochi.

Eating your words, yet? Islanders embarrassed them in the 2nd and 3rd periods.

"Wins everywhere he goes..." Nope. Not today.

Why would I eat my words? It's a series, first to 4 wins. It's 1-1. Lol.

Crosby had 2 goals in his first game back after over a month and Malkin is tied (early in the playoffs, albeit) for the scoring lead.

The NHL playoffs are SERIES. If I remember correctly, every team that wins the Cup, loses NUMEROUS games throughout the playoffs.

The only way the Isles get to a game 7 (or even win the series) is if Tavares averages at least 2 points per game, many of which are goals. There's no way the Isles survive the Pens unless Tavares leads both teams in scoring. I'm not putting it past him because he's crazy good, but he needs to be a magician for the Isles to survive.

Pens in 5. 6 at most. This series doesn't hit 7.

I'll eat my words if the Pens actually lose the SERIES.

;-)

Glad to see the Leafs outBruined the Bruins last night. The Leafs are a better offensive team than the Bruins with more speed and they play very physical - the Bruins will have a lot of trouble if TO moves it's feet all game. If TO doesn't use it's speed and physical play, the Bruins are much better at maintaining defensive posture and can suffocate you all game. This will be a tight, hard fought series regarless of who wins.

No Pens vs [whatever] series will be as great as the brawl against the Flyers, which looked like this...

Dirty ass team. The only team in the league I won't cry a tear at if their players get injured (but I still won't wish it on them).

Illegal hits to the head... you know when the boxing ring bell goes off, shit is going down at Wells Fargo Center.

SPOILER ALERT: The blackhawks are going to win, and the CPD are going to run over peaceful revelers with atvs... again.
