New York Primary April 19th

Primary Victory Speech from Donald Trump
http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box...928-trump-we-dont-have-much-of-a-race-anymore

Donald Trump basked in his New York primary victory from Trump Tower on Tuesday night, declaring that the GOP nominating process is all but over.

“We don’t have much of a race anymore,” Trump said. Sen. Cruz is just about mathematically eliminated.”

Trump is poised to take a strong majority of New York's 95 delegates on Tuesday night.

Ted Cruz is facing a third-place finish and possibly getting shut out, which will bring him close to being mathematically eliminated from winning the nomination outright. Still, Cruz will soldier on, hoping to block Trump from the 1,237 delegates he needs to avoid a contested convention.

Albany:

Republican

90.5% Reporting
D. Trump 49.0% 5,556
J. Kasich 34.8% 3,954
T. Cruz 16.2% 1,837
B. Carson 0.0% 0

Albany just posted a bunch of Trump votes that will probably keep him over 50% in CD23.

In the Democratic Race, a Clinton supporter could get a shock looking at the results map - as Sanders wins almost all counties outside of New York City, which turns the map colours pretty much in his favor. But ofc, thats not where the majority of people live.

http://edition.cnn.com/election/primaries/states/ny/Dem

90% in

Clinton 57.4%
Sanders 42.6%

In my opinion not a very impressive win in a homestate.

Manhattan:

Dem:

97% in
Clinton 167,800 votes
Sanders 86,000

GOP

97% in

Kasich 10,200 votes
Trump 9,700

(rounded)

My list for Kasich now:

CD 10 = 1
CD 12 = 1-2
CD 13 = 0-1
CD 16 = 0-1
CD 20 = 1
CD 21 = 0-1
CD 23 = 0-1
CD 24 = 1

Sum: 4-9 delegates, but 8 or 9 is very unlikely.

Update:

CD 10 = 1
CD 12 = 1-2 (rather 1)
CD 13 = 0-1 (rather 1)
CD 16 = 0
CD 20 = 1
CD 21 = 0-1 (rather 0)
CD 23 = 0-1 (rather 0)
CD 24 = 1

So my guess now: 4-8 delegates, most likely 5

Kasich won CD 12 with a lead of only 70 votes (100% in)

New list:

CD 10 = 1
CD 12 = 2
CD 13 = 0-1 (Trump is at 50.0% with 94% in)
CD 16 = 0
CD 20 = 1
CD 21 = 0
CD 23 = 0
CD 24 = 1

Sum: Kasich wins 5 or 6 delegates

(and thats it for me, Good Night, Liberty lovers ;) )

After NY Trump can end this before the convention, he just offers Kasich the VP spot and his delegates put him over the top on the first vote, simple really, and Kasich can carry Ohio for the GOP in the General.

It's a likely scenario. He'll need to win IN and CA outright to get to the RNC around 1100. Both of those states are in play now, plus MD where Kasich could do well. Trump is probably going to lose all the delegates from WV even though he is polling well there, because of their weird balloting rules.

Cruz came in 4th place in one district.

Ted Cruz's Night of Humiliation Continues as He Loses to Ben Carson in New York District

It’s been a rough night for Ted Cruz. Across the state of New York, he’s almost guaranteed to come in last place of the three remaining candidates. And in at least one district in Westchester, Ted Cruz coming in last of the remaining candidates and someone who isn’t even running anymore.
