New Thursday Poll (PPP) shows Trump imploding...Rand decision premature?

Don't waste anymore time on this.

Rand is not going to win presidential election in 2016.

I think Trump will fall to 2nd place with Rubio winning NH--NH polls change fast. Trump's weakness has been that his inevitability and greatness is only perception since actual votes are proving that not to be the case. SC, the state that elects Lindsey Graham, will have no problem voting for Rubio either.

I have a feeling that the KY race will be entertaining, more entertaining then the general election. The guy they are sending in is probably hand picked to run against him and will undoubtedly even get support/endorsements from Clinton/Sanders. He seems to check all the "boxes" ....

I thought his senate challenger was gay? ....

Like nikcers said... he checks ALL the boxes. ;)

Trump is far, far, far from out of this race, especially after he wins NH with double the vote of the nearest competition

I really wish he had stayed in and I cant see why he didn't!

Because staying in would have required him to concentrate his time and effort on something unproductive rather than countless other better things he could be doing for the next few months.

The answer is right there in that same poll. Trump people aren't switching to Rand, they're switching to Rubio.

I'm surprised he dropped out after placing a lot better than the polls predicted. From being shut out of the main card debate to placing higher than Bush?! He should at least waited until after South Carolina to see where he sits. I agree with the person above that skipping that one debate was a bad move. He should have used the undercard debate to protest and he would have gotten the most amount of time to speak versus all the other debates. I also think is was bad strategy to not include his dad more in his campaign. It felt like Rand was trying to distance himself more from Ron than embrace him.

My prediction. Rubio will win nomination and most likely be our next president.

I agree that Rubio will win the nomination, but like McCain and Romney, he's slated to be the fall guy to the Dem candidate, who will most assuredly be Hillary Clinton. Its all a rigged game that no one but the chosen insider will win. Sponsored by Microsoft®.

Trump needs to start airing out the well documented laundry of the Rubio and Cruz financial backers. Don't these rubes do research anymore?

So Al Gore and Kerry were the fall guys against Bush?

Its a lot more likely that the Democratic elite and the Republican elite really aren't on the same team. Its almost a zero sum game for power between those interest groups and they really want one of their own in office. Its not just for influence and positions- though yeah those matter a lot too- but because many of them really do believe in what the candidates have to say. And as we've seen with Bernie 'I'm gonna lose to any decent Republican' Sanders, Donald 'Wow the Republicans will cease being a credible party if I win' Trump and Ted 'Everyone including the elite hates me' Cruz the establishment isn't nearly as powerful as it used to be.

Edit: double post. Might as well say something different here.

That being said, I agree that Rand dropped too early. I'm not a Rand guy but his message of non-interventionism is needed now more than ever.

Suspending a campaign is not the same as dropping out.

NH voters will see Rand on the ballot -
nice to see if he gets votes anyway.

Iowa didn't use a ballot like an election, but they did use Microsoft algorithms of course
