Piss on you Zippy for making me agree with Kahless. But he's right. Look at Buttigieg's numbers among black voters. Those are the same black voters that didn't give a crap about Bill Clinton being a womanizer. I know blacks who are SOLID democrats, love Obama (despite Obama opening the door for mayor Pete's marriage) and can't get past the fact that Pete is married to a man. The idea of the first lady being a man doesn't go over very will. And look at Latino voters, most of whom are Catholic. Look at Muslim voters. It was a Latino/Catholic and Muslim coalition that killed gay marriage in California before the SCOTUS overturned all same sex marriage bans. Speaking of Muslims, will the "first man" try to do diplomatic visits to Muslim countries? How's that going to work exactly? And some Christian majority African countries are just as anti-gay as most Muslim countries.
Read through the Bible. You will find patriarchs that were womanizers. Judah got his daughter-in-law pregnant when she disguised herself as a hooker. David killed a man after getting the man's wife pregnant. The Spirit of the Lord came on Samson when he was lying down with a hooker. And that doesn't even get into the polygamists. (Abraham, Jacob, Samuel's dad, Solomon). What you won't find are any openly gay characters. Some will go back and try to interpret certain characters as gay, but you won't find a single instance of a Bible hero explicitly going to bed with someone of the same sex. Based on that it's not inconsistent for liberal Christians to give Bill Clinton a pass for womanizing and conservative Christians to give Donald Trump a pass for womanizing but for both liberal and conservative Christians to have a problem with mayor Pete.
