New email - Ron wants help with congressional seat

You obviously have somewhat different motivations in your support for Dr. Paul and thats fine, but dont insult me because Im not one of you long suffering libertarians. It appears that yall are more concerned with moving your libertarian agenda forward. I just want an *honest* politician in the White House that I agree with on some issues. You seem concerned with just maintaining a libertarian (big or little L) voice somewhere. Like I said, thats fine but not everyone has the same motivation that you Libertarians do. I got with this campaign to get him into the White House....not sniff the White House by being the most successful libertarian candidate, but still lose.

Understood, keep in mind not everyone is libertarian here and most of us didnt come into the fold for "the long haul". I know I sure didnt, but now I'm a republican that can't just turn back to the "business as usual" of a mislead party. Are you prepared too?

I want to see ron paul in the whitehouse more than congress, BUT our options are as follows

Ron paul (at a brokered convention)small chance at President.
or

Ron paul (brokered convention) small chance at president, Locked in congressman.
And "head" in the public eye of a movement that will get us there eventually.

True, it stinks, but a million dollars towards for congress gets his name out just as much in texas as a million dollars towards his campaign.

They both generate name recognition and votes, while the failure to get him elected to congress gives the Media more Ammo.

If you don't like being insulted, you should stop acting like a petulant child. You are being attacked because you, yourself, are attacking. We're all disappointed that the media didn't run with our movement and give us the same kind of coverage that they gave to a Democrat, Howard Dean, when a liberal grass roots movement caught fire. But they didn't, and now we pick up the piece and do our best to move forward.

What you have to understand is that Ron Paul isn't just the leader of a presidential campaign. He's the leader of a movement. Just because you can't personally see the forest through the trees doesn't mean that he can't. He is doing everything he can to advance the movement, and thus he has to spend the money that he has very wisely. Pissing it away in the wind isn't going to help either his presidential campaign, or the movement.

Ron Paul is still pressing towards the white house, even with the odds being as long as they are. But he can't take his eye off the ball and ignore the fact that the Republican establishment is going to do everything they can to get a neo-con elected in his Texas District and use that to snuff out our voice in congress.

God forbid they actually spend some money on the remaining primaries. There were 2 more contests today in case you missed it, being drunk on the congressional cool-aid and all. RP has around 8% in Washington at the moment. It could have been double digits with a little effort since he did well there during the previous caucus. But alas, no effort from the presidential campaign for a better showing in the primaries today. I guess still trying to win, or at least finish competitively is "pissing it away"? What The Hell are they saving the money for?? More 4% finishes? It sure will be easy to convert people (which I *still* have to do for my state) to join the movement when the campaign is happy with 4% finishes while sitting on a pile of money.

Second, on a personal level stop with the insults. I disagree with what the campaign is doing. If you dont like my opinion, feel free to shove it up your ass and put me on ignore. I won't stop voicing my opinion just because you don't like it.
