New Dietary Guidelines: Cut Sugar, Eat More Veggies

Omega 3/6/9 are in flax, DHA is in algae oil (which is added to some products like milk), and lots of people who eat meat don't eat fish much anyway. As for the second point, you can get plenty of animal protein from milk products, so meat is not necessary to obtain animal protein. Therefore, meat (including seafood) is not necessary for healthy brain function or developing muscles.

Mmmmm... Next you will be telling us to eat processed cardboard sauteed with algae oil in flaxseeds. I can't wait. :(

These are expensive and distasteful, uninspiring options.

That's not quite how tissue repair works. The body takes the proteins and other nutrients needed to repair tissue by breaking down whatever is eaten, or by producing the proteins and other nutrients that it is able to, and uses those for repair.

What im saying is that when your organs are lacking in something vital the body can attain those substances by eating the same organ of animals.

There are certain things you just cant guarantee in eating land animals.. trace minerals is one of them... Shrimp by far has the best form of selenium to be absorbed by the human body.. along with iodine and other substances.. wild caught from the ocean of course.. the farm raised version of these animals are sick and should not be eaten as they do not contain the same nutrients

Know what's pretty amazing? Frying vegetables or paneer cheese in ghee, which is butter that is slowly heated and strained until it's a liquid with the solids removed. It can be used for deep frying. For my wedding, I had doughnuts fried in the stuff. It's super healthy and puts the flavor of plain old butter to shame.

I wouldnt consider deep frying of any kind to be healthy.

No, I would not suggest eating things like that, maybe you wanted to say something weird. :p If you already buy organic milk, getting it with DHA isn't more expensive, and people who don't eat much fish sometimes take fish caps, so there are also flax and DHA caps that can be taken if you so desire, but you can live fine without it. I wouldn't tell anyone what to eat, but I do enjoy things like burritos, pasta, pizza, so many things that are normal dishes just without meat and maybe with some more cheese or milk or beans instead.

Maybe not, but it's delicious! But the reason I mentioned that was to show how much higher the smoke point of ghee is compared to butter -- it is so much higher that you can even deep fry with it, so it's perfectly good for sauteing or to start a chaunce.

Pizza is amazing, and you can even put MSG on it!

Angela, its not that I want natural cancer... its that i regard Nature's wisdom higher than man's ignorance... Man can take out some cancer gene so-called with good intentions.. but man has no idea what they are doing.. they can only guess... And like I said before these things have unintended consequences and unless we do long term studies we have no idea what they are... as it stands short term animal studies with GMOs have not been very encouraging.. animals have problems because their bodies dont recognize GMOs as food. i dont wanna rehash all this.. if you like GMOs and think theyre good then youre free to eat them... But for me I want to know whats in my food and if I have to choose between nature and man I will choose nature every time...
