Does the Ron Paul people have two-thirds majority in the room? They need that to unbind. I wonder if that affected their decision. If they don't think they don't, why further antagonize the RNC and the Romney camp?


Anyways, I'm happy for Nevada. Twenty-two Ron Paul supporters as delegates! National Committeeman and National Committeewoman!

Now the campaign just has to play their cards right.

Of course those are important, but no where near as important as getting as many rp delegates to the nat convention as possible. I dont understand why the sudden lay down after so much success?

Honestly, I think we should take our victory and savor it as it is. We have the State GOP leadership and the majority of delegates for voting on non-Presidential things at the RNC. If our goal is to co-op the Party, we need to take the highroad. If our goal is to piss all of our hardwork away, we might as well just go Third-Party and get it over with.

Yeah but with the upcoming primaries I fear it will be very tight on the first ballot at Tampa (and that's if were quite succesful).

What's the point of all the time and money expensive delegate strategy if we lose the first ballot by a few votes just because we didn't want to piss up Romney people who did EVERYTHING to cheat on Ron?

How would we know? Romney is challenging everything. I think Ron should challenge North Dakota. We know whose creative interpretation of the rules is going to be touted as the real thing. However, if it comes down to 6 or 8 states having their slates thrown out, Romney might decide that isn't less divisive than having another nomination on the floor.

Was hoping you / someone had info on history of seating alternates as delegates at national. How likely it is...

Unbinding would be probably bad for Rand. That the only explanation I can think of. RP can't be sure that Romney will not get necessary votes in the first round.

Some in our group want to climb a gop ladder that will never exist. Some want to win the presidency for Ron Paul. Bunce and a couple others are wanting to be welcomed in the party. I know we will never be welcomed. We have to continue to take it over as planned for bothshortand long term gain. We cannot play nice as they will surely stab us in the back
