NATIONAL USA Today/Gallup Poll: Ron Paul in 3rd place with 14%, Bachmann in 4th with 13%

Great News!

I have to laugh because the British press is operating a total news blackout on Ron Paul in the media but I think Ron Paul is becoming too big for them to just pretend he doesn't exist

It's going to be very interesting if RP does well in Iowa

It would be really helpful if threads about poll results specified whether it is a national poll, state poll, or some other kind of poll.

Do they just toss a random number that is in the 20% range behind Romney's name for these things? I have yet to meet a SINGLE human being that supports this man. Not even the most NeoCon of NeoCons that have met or know... Does anyone know anyone that supports Romney? I just don't even

I've been wondering this same thing. I can't say I've seen anyone genuinely behind him. Just going from the people I know, Paul and Bachmann would be the clear frontrunners. They're the two with the buzz and popularity around them. I haven't heard a peep from anyone in support of Romney. Same thing with Pawlenty until last week. Apparently this one girl I know from high school, good looking but not the brightest bulb if you know what I mean, has decided she's the biggest Pawlenty supporter ever. She's been filling everyone's facebook wall up with a new Pawlenty news stories or video every three hours. I was like, "lolwut? where did that come from?"

I actually work with his niece, who says she will vote for him - which is understandable since they're family. Other than that, he's a flat-liner.

Check this out, just for fun.

The media may be ignoring Paul, but Mitt's organic support base hardly exists.

Well there it is. Proof that Ron Paul is not (was not) a fringe candidate, a long-shot, or only just appeals to a small-base of fanatical rabid supporters. Ron has finally shattered the single-digits. This takes away the media's ability to continue to ignore him by mentioning the top three and say everyone else is in single digits. I only hope that he continues to poll in double-digits (except FOX polls of course) here on out. Now coming in at a close second doesn't hurt Ron as much because it is clear he has decent national support. My take was that we needed to win IOWA SP to get a bump in the polls to 15% or so...but now that we are already there, the SP win or second will still give him a bump even if it is only several percentage points to say 17%-18%...those numbers with Perry getting will keep Paul in the top three because when Perry gets in the race tightens and Romney and Bachmann will drop some...everyone will be in striking distance of each other...I can't wait for the debates!!!!

You won't see anyone break 30%....you'll have a horserace that looks something like this:

Romney-25%
Bachmann-22%
Paul-18%
Perry-17%

and in some cases they all may trade places in different polls...

The key poll will be the NH primary poll just following the IA straw poll...I haven't seen a NH poll for over a month now...if Ron can get up to 20%....the fight is ON!!!

The Mitt does have supporters. People who have no conviction, that do no research, and don't read the news.

Made me smile... Part of me thought that maybe another candidate would steal Dr. Paul's thunder and push him down the polling list, nice to see that part of me is wrong. This may sound wierd, but it is kind of hard to describe my feelings right now. There is REAL hope for America, Ron Paul CAN win!

This is great. I sure hope this trend continues, but I have a habit of being pessimistic on these sort of things. Like others have said, now that Ron is moving up in the polls the attack dogs are really going to start coming out.
