My 16 year old son is undergoing a minor surgery Thursday, removal of a lymph node and subsequent biopsy of the thing. This all happened very fast. 10 days ago he noticed a lump in his groin. Pediatrician thought hernia, sent for CT scan. Surgeon read CT, said, no, swollen lymph. Gave hard cord course of antibiotics. A week later, thing had grown, was very sore and he thought he felt another. Sent back to surgeon yesterday. There are 4 of them. So, in order to rule out a lymphoma or leukemia or other scary stuff they are going to take it out and send it away. He's scared shitless even though he'd never admit it. Keep him on your thoughts tomorrow morning at 9:30 if you could, please?
Thank you all.
