Musk Advocates to Double H-1B Visas

MAGA Goes To WAR Over H1B Visas

In this video I discuss the recent infighting among Trump's base over the H1b Visa & why I believe it is actually a valuable conversation to have. One of the biggest issues driving support for President Trump has been what many people believe are America last immigration policies & these policies expand far beyond illegal immigration. The H1B Visa has been promised as a merit based model that brings desperately needed skills to the United States. However what we see time & time again is that it is just a mechanism to hire cheap Indian labor to replace Americans that would cost a premium to major companies.

It occurs to me that the supply of housing is analogous to the supply of physical gold. There are limitations on how much new supply can be created.

"Gold is too expensive and scarce."
"Just mine some gold."

A huge difference being that no one requires physical gold on a daily basis to live.

Are you also against free trade? I can't remember.

Your meme isnt far off from the truth.
No White No Euporean employers..

I mean look at the recruitment for what they are doing in the Western gaming studios currently.

This is a discrimination practice nothing more.

I guess this is how we end up with AAA RPGs where you can choose the size of your tranny character's dick

If you don't believe free markets work, then why are you here?

It is not possible to talk about free markets as anything but a philosophical exercise anymore.
Free markets already played out. This is the result. And more for what's coming.

MAGA's H1B Debate EXPLAINED

This doesn't even make sense. The free market is always in operation, even under the most extreme tyranny. The Soviets were basically incapable of supplying their own demand for shaving razors and almost the only way you could get razors was black market razors imported from the West. Everybody bought them, and everybody lived in denial of the fact that they were using black market goods and their economy literally could not exist without this and countless other "cheat goods" smuggled in from the West. Because totalitarian central planning is not only absolute madness, it's actually impossible, see Mises Economic Calculation in the Socialist Commonwealth. This used to be widely understood on RPF but it seems there are only a few of us holdouts from the old days who remember these things and speak about them.

There is no actual alternative to the free market. There are just the delusions of tyrants which last until they collapse under the weight of their own contradictions and are swept into the dustbin of history... "Here lies Ozymandias..."

Economic prosperity is downstream from liberty.

Liberty is downstream from culture.

Culture is downstream from race.

Should add a tariff to these H1B workers. Whatever wage they are paid, the company is required to pay an additional 50% that goes to an American citizen fund payable directly to the American people. (And make it so H1B's can never become citizens.)

Then we'll see how many of these H1B's are based on actual skill shortages.

It's definitely not skill shortages. I work in immigration and know a lot about the H-1B visa. The requirement is that it must be a "professional" position for a which a specialized bachelor's degree is normally required (Accountant, Teacher, Doctor, Engineer, Business Manager, etc.). There's no experience requirement and it doesn't even need to be STEM-related. The employers are required to pay a minimum DOL set wage ("prevailing wage") but it is less than the market rate. I detest the argument that they can't find U.S. workers to do these jobs.

you cant generally rehypothecate houses, in practical terms, using paper games though.

hmmm, or can you? let's see if houses have been rehypothecated and who is -legal- owner?

<disputes between boomer rent seeking owners and rent seeking management companies enters the chat>

And??

Come on, Count... Are you going to let the implication go silent??

Like there is no difference between "legal" immigration of talent and an "illegal" invasion at taxpayer expense.

The Springfield Haitians came here legally under Temporary Protected Status. One of Biden's last acts was to do H2B visas for Mexican Truckers. There are H2A visas for agriculture workers.

And here's the funny thing. Despite dannno and Swordsmyth's valiant efforts to prove the Springfield Hatians eat cats (no proof of that) CATS ARE DEFINITELY ON THE MENU IN CHINA, INDIA AND EVEN SWITZERLAND! Trump has already stated that he approves Elon's H1B visa program. Steve Bannon if fighting back against this, calling Elon Musk "racist." I guess Steve Bannon is the only leader in MAGA who truly cares about pets.

Big changes are underway for U.S. visas, quietly.

The age of cheap, temporary H-1B labor is ending.

The Trump administration isn’t just slowing new approvals.
It’s laying the groundwork to make visa sponsorship financially painful.

Under the H-1B Modernization Rule and USCIS’s new fee schedule, costs are rising.
And now, wage floor increases are back under review, targeting exactly how much employers must pay to keep a visa worker.

This isn’t about protecting workers.
It’s about shrinking demand without needing Congress.

These changes affect existing visa holders.
If your role is up for renewal, transfer, or amendment, your employer may soon face higher wage requirements or new documentation standards.

Promotions may be delayed.
Transfers could be reconsidered.
And companies are already rethinking whether H-1B staffing is worth the long-term cost.

They’re starting to prioritize workers they can keep permanently.
That means U.S. citizens.

If you're on a visa and in a cost-sensitive role, understand this clearly.
The pressure is already building.

Because, as we already learned, when they say "AI is displacing American workers" they're talking about Alien Indians.
