Mitt Romney will challenge Maine GOP results after frantically running to attys

Well someone already said that they voted county by county by first suspending rules. Now what I fear is that suspension of rule or rule changes at this moment is NOT allowed per RNC.. As I stated the the rules that RNC goes by are submitted by each State GOP before Oct 2011.. So maybe they can challenge them. But since suspending the rules is also part of rules, then maybe we have a case as well. But I think the delegate selection/allocation process was pre-submitted by each state to the RNC, changing those might not have been allowed. I hope the campaign is aware of all the rules and taking the right steps as I'm clearly just 'hypothesizing' based on what I understand not what I 'know'.

Well, if it actually gets that far, hopefully the RP campaign will have the videotape of the dude handing out fake ballots that was posted here last night and things will "even out" and be left alone. Has someone downloaded that video to their hard drive? We are going to need it. I have no idea where I saw it.

So, we do it all over again? The results would not change and it would cost the GOP money to redo. They can't just toss a state out for a small infraction that does not change the actual delegate count. Can they? Where is that rule?

unless we can prove that was officially authorized that isn't likely to help in a challenge. The point is if Romney controls the credentials committee he plans to make up challenges, so we need to be as by the rules as we can be, but essentially ignore him. Let him speak to 30 states at convention or whatever.

This just goes to show if Mitt gets in office, America will be run by attorneys. I knew he was clueless during his debates for saying it but now I see he's really serious. I can't physically roll my eyes hard enough.

there is a tweet from Maine that a Romney supporter threatened to rush the stage and was freaking out. I wonder if that was the attorney. Also the Washington County chair is now refusing to go on stage and represent. wonder if his chair will be declared vacant. They are trying to get delay and reconvene when they can get more people.

He's acting ridiculous now.

If things don't go his way he'll take his basketball and go home.

I wouldn't be surprised that the chairman told everyone to vote this way because they were going to lose anyways... Now they could challenge them. I hope there is VIDEO evidence of the whole damn convention..

ALWAYS RECORD VIDEO AT YOUR CONVENTION!!

Yeah, I got hours and hours of 1080p60p from Maine.

Supporters of the presumptive GOP nominee repeatedly maneuvered to challenge the delegate election and claimed that ballots had been tampered with.

Of course, NO ONE in the establishment would ever recognize the fact that the ballot tampering happened AGAINST Ron Paul.

Funny how Romney supposedly has so many delegates, yet he and the RNC freak the hell out about us winning a couple states. Means we are doing something right.

we have videos of them doing it, but all they have to do is do it to one of their own, hold it up and say 'throw out the results!' they know how the party will 'award' things if the original delegation is thrown out.

@digitialdean wrong thread?

Yeah, they are not specifying the challenge. My guess is that the Romney camp will just challenge Maine if Romney doesn't get to 1,144 after all his votes and legal challenges are done. A supporter could merely record the allegations to take back later though. My gut instinct is that the lawyer was advising people on what motions to make and trying to actually draft the narrative for Tampa. Either that or the lawyer was trying to intimidate. I really hope it is the former. Yet, the chair at the time appeared to cite the rule about "dilatory motions" at the time which is awesome and limits the ability to succeed most of the time.
