Missing RPFers

I miss QuickMike, Revolution9, Literatim and a host of other old-timers. I miss seeing more posts from Scribbler, Lord Xar, Bossobass, AdamT, Llepard and geez, a lot of the folks who were so very instrumental in some of the great things that were accomplished during the campaign.

me 2...this thread makes me a little sad. :(

I enjoy reading this forum on a regular basis.

Also, I am having a hard time finding inspiration with alot of people following obama.
Even my gf of 1yr voted for him in november which was a blow. Her family was into to him
so I guess it's hard to be too upset.

It's kinda rough being the 6 year old screaming from the back seat of the car on a family roadtrip. Even though alot of these ideas make sense we are not the ones making the decisions.

It's pretty amazing that Ron Paul does what he does and has been doing it for so many years.

Where the heck is THE ONE. Funny sarcastic guy always a lot of fun. Could have been a Minnesotan. We need you back THE ONE.

Gheminger of course but he came around again being so nice. Hope he is OK.

And that prick Rodo1776 who was always giving torchbearer a hard time about the cash he raised for his congressional race and never accounted for. Where is that scumbag?

Good riddance to him I say.

Most of all, I miss the passion that we all had and the focus on a common goal.

Same here. I think a lot of it has to do with losing our big task of getting votes for Ron.

My hope is that when 2010 comes around and we have people willing to make a run for office, we can refocus, "pwn" the douchebags and make it a working board again. Until then we have to deal with the kiddies, the adults who cry about mickey bullshit parental control but then hate that the board goes downhill and all the other damned-if-you-do/damned-if-you-don't nonsense on here.

it's not easy walking a tightrope and you moderators are generally doing a fine job. Unfortunately, some control has to be placed on remarks to keep the focus on restoring constitutional liberty and electing candidates who'll actually adhere to that standard. Identifying, supporting, and hopefully electing such candidates should be our main goal between general elections. 2010 is just around the bend...

I haven't seen Mr. Osmar in a while.... Liked him.

As far as future elections and fundraising, I'm excited about seeing something similar to the Liberty Straw Poll again. That was fantastic (less the lack of server bandwidth :p).

still around. it's been a crazy few months though.

love everyone...

cowlesy... i'm avoiding you atm, though i won't be forever [( promise ;) ) where's that embarrassed emoticon again? ]

Saw Dr3D threatening to be next last evening. Might as well get him in this thread. *sigh*

And Meatwasp--another casualty of one of the more purient threads. And Snapple Llama...

I've been away, but only because I got sick of the infighting right after the election. Oh, and because grad school is kicking my little llama hindquarters!

I was actually thinking about, 'the rumors of my recent demise have been greatly exaggerated,' but I think I like yours better.

I've been around, just not very involved in RPF anymore because I've kinda moved on to other liberty activism that I think will be more effective than political action. I had a great time in the grassroots with you guys, and learned a lot, but I don't think this is the way forward. A lot of my thoughts are well-summed up in this series of videos, if you have the stomach for some tough but constructive criticism:
