[Milei WINS!] Javier Milei, Austrian econ. prof. & ancap, runs for president of Argentina

Perhaps the problem isn't that you're going to sleep, Austin. Perhaps it's the fact that you keep waking up.

There are Canadian doctors who can help you with that. At taxpayer expense, too, just the way you like it.

I believe he's pro-Milei? I think he just worded it somewhat awkwardly... i guess he's trying to say he's too excited to sleep...

Why aren't we doing this here?! BLM riots will literally evaporate overnight...

Pretty sure there might be a 1st Amendment problem with government punishing people finacially for political speech.

Since when are riots political speech?! As a propertarian, I side with the rooftop Koreans, not the looters...

Yeah. Last I checked, using “political speech” was not an excuse for actual crimes.

And nobody is "entitled" to any taxpayer-funded handout anyway, so if you don't qualify because you were committing crimes, then you don't qualify. Rules is rules, and all that...

Only during an insider communist revolution is rioting, looting, arson, theft, destruction, kidnapping via trapping people considered “political speech”

Sorry folks. I missed the riot and thought we were talking about protesting. I've been in central America when organized protests shut down roads and such. They weren't riots but folks did block streets.

Not "protests", no peaceable assembly, no intent to attain redress of grievances. Just smash, loot and burn, then disappear...

Milei pushing "austerity measures"

These austerity polices had usually had being towards agaisnt the common people.

They never worked in Europe.

Don't just generalize. Milei has given specific reasons for the specific austerity measures he is implementing. In other countries, "austerity" is generally used as a bullwhip by the political elites against unruly bureaucracies getting too big for their breeches. AFAICT, that's not what Milei is doing. He's not trying to manufacture political sycophants in the bureaucracies. He's really imposing actual budget cuts and reductions in the size of government for the purpose of reducing the burden on the tax-paying Argentinian. You'd think that, because of this, Milei would be a hero among the US Republican establishment. All we have heard domestically is crickets.

2024 proposal: If you show up to an ostensibly lawful protest or political gathering, and rioting begins, police cordon the area, spray blue dye like the CCP does for crowd-control in Hong Kong, send in the paddy-wagons, and anyone caught dyed blue is arrested, charged, and papers filed with their state's welfare agencies to terminate all forms of public assistance they are receiving... housing, food, medical, etc. After ONE enforcement action is taken in response to such a riot, I can 100% guarantee all further riots will cease and desist forthwith...

So agent provocateurs have free reign to agitate and shut down/eliminate any protest movement? This is a terrible idea. Prosecute individuals if you have evidence that they broke the law. Just being in proximity of other people breaking the law should not be sufficient. This suggestion is straight up asking for tyranny. You can't be for liberty and also be lusting to use the billy club of government against folks you don't like. It doesn't work that way.

I agree with you, I'm being somewhat facetious. My point is that there are solutions that don't involve giving in to this BLM temper tantrum. And while the billy club of the State cannot be justly used in aggression, there is a time and place for self-defense, both individually and collectively. Historically, we've always gotten collective self-defense wrong, but that doesn't mean there is no right way to do it...

PS: The American war for independence is arguably one example of collective self-defense done right. I can think of few other candidates...

My word. They really can't. Make. Memes. :tears::facepalming:

They do have a much harder job. Telling the truth works so much easier than brainwashing people into believing fascism is exactly the opposite of what the dictionary says it is. But still. They can't even copy memes.
