MEETUP Folks- Who is Tim Shaw?

Hey, if it is a good enough reason for the Missouri GOP <Your credentials are being challenged because of your support for Ron Paul>, it should be good enough for us.

[
Not a single person has sent ANYTHING, nor done anything of the sort. And I doubt will. OH, hang on - how could you possibly know that has happened? Wouldn't the only way to know, is if YOU ARE THE PERSON WHOSE RECEIVED IT?

On the first page for the A.D.D members:

He's been kicked out of our local Meetup with the following message to him:

You should be ashamed of yourself, posing as a Ron Paul supporter when you in fact support a Neoconservative viewpoint. Misrepresenting yourself makes you a liar and Ron Paul folks don't trust liars. I hope that at some point you will come around to understanding and promoting individual liberty and personal responsibility, but until then you will not belong to my local Ron Paul meetup. I highly suggest you read Dr. Paul's book, "The Revolution: A Manifesto" so you might truly understand what real Republicans are fighting for.

The Real Tim Shaw.

Destination ImagiNation

Our students won eight state championship awards, beating the previous School record of seven championships, set in 2005. Two of the teams won additional honors at State: a DaVinci Award for creative risk taking and a Renaissance Award for outstanding design, engineering, execution, and performance.

The eight teams included 42 students who advanced to the Global Finals competition in Knoxville, Tennessee. Over 8,000 students on 991 teams from nearly 50 states and 13 foreign countries took part in the international competition.

Our senior boys’ team won first place at Global Finals. The world championship team of Ace Boothby, Noah Caplan, Donnie Chell, Jake Gratzon, Tim Shaw, Owen Stowe and Newlin Wilkins also won a Renaissance Award in Knoxville.

Destination ImagiNation is the world’s largest creative problem solving competition for students.

While we still have no idea whether or not he's a Ron Paul supporter, he really doesn't seem that menacing. I think we can stand down red alert.

He is attempting to join my group under the name "Tim".

Here is his message. ""I am working for a non-profit organization that wants to provide constitution education to Americans. We hope to help keep the Ron Paul revolution alive. I would like to give some information to your members. We do not spam or ask for donations."

My reply to him "Its not our policy to allow membership to our group unless you
can make our meetups. I will pass along any info you have. Do you have a web page?"

As I run a closed meetup just for this reason. Someone is a member of 50 or so meetups can cause a great deal of trouble. Spreading rumors, false info. No thanks, our emails will not go to the John MC Cain campaign!!

Meetups are intended to be "Local" gatherings. If you cant make our meetups, you don't need to be a member!!!

Nice job handling that. We have no concrete proof that this guy is an outsider, although it does seem that way. So I think the best way to handle this is just as you have. Boot him from the group, tell him he needs to be able to attend in person. Be polite, not rude.

It seems many are missing my posts providing info on this guy. We know who he is. Please check the first couple of pages of this thread.

That info is incorrect. Please see above.

So we have a guy signing up to hundreds of Ron Paul meetups...

We have a politician, a policy advisor, a donor to Romney...
And we have a kid with the same name...

And yet suddenly it's the KID that has joined all these meetups?

Please explain this reasoning.

This kid is actually from there. I've contacted the meetup and informed the Organizer of this.

If you'd prefer to believe that a city council member from La Habra Ca is infiltrating all our meetups using a completely phony address in a far away state that's your choice.

Yes, actually I would, because it makes a WHOLE lot more sense.

So you think it makes more sense to assume that the individual is lying about their location while ignoring the fact that there are 3 Tim Shaw's actually living in that area. Instead you assume an elected official from another state is attempting to gather information on us. That doesn't make any sense at all. Especially when you consider the simplicity of this. If there is a group collecting info on us they would not be foolish enough to make it so blatantly obvious, they'd have a few people join their local groups (Which has actually happened and been confirmed).
You must first disprove that any of those 3 are not the person we're referring to.

You're jumping to some serious conclusions here that have no base whatsoever.

It's funny. You talk about them not being foolish enough to... and yet you miss the obvious, that choosing an address with several people of that name will lead people to believe it is one of them instead. It's not rocket science.

I am not convinced either way, but I certainly lean towards it being the Tim Shaw I found. MOTIVE is the FIRST thing you go looking for.

Clockwise:

Are you saying that you have confirmed that your Tim Shaw is the same Tim Shaw who has essentially signed up for every available Ron Paul MeetUp?

You've confirmed this?

No, the person in question has not logged on to the meetup since they joined on May 1st. I've sent them messages but who knows if they will respond once they've logged on. My point is this, it's much more reasonable to assume the person who did this is actually the 19 prankster from Iowa(have you seen his friends page?) as opposed to the 30 something career politician from La Habra. Hell, it might even be one of the other 2 guys with that name from the same city.

Jumping to conclusions is not helpful in these matters.
