Massachusetts caucus today

Oh and my very good friend was at the district 8 precinct. He said the crowd got pretty rowdy over some ballots getting tossed out. The top RP delegate came in 4th by 4 votes. This district had 9 provisional votes that were almost all RP voters too. Hopefully one more out of district 8!

Romneys camp bused people in and bought them breakfast @ CD9. They were even handing out stickers that could just be stuck on the ballot with their 3 peoples names right on it! That seems like a good idea maybe we should start doing it. Good to see the grassroots is almost as strong as the machine!

the stickers are a good idea if allowed, would keep ballots from being 'tossed' as you put it, because they were scratched over or something. On the other hand, if WE did it, they would probably ban them....

Things went so well, that as we were leaving, a Romney lady was pointing at us (Ron Paul supporters) and saying "I HATE THEM! I HATE YOU! YOU ARE RUINING THE REPUBLICAN PARTY!"

HAHAHA, no joke.

Haha, Indeed.... definitely should have busted out a...

when votes are sent away they ALWAYS go the way the party wants them, have you noticed? Cite a SINGLE time it has gone the other way.

All the same, thanks for your report. I don't know where that leaves us on the total and being able to elect the delegation head.
Funny how that happens eh?

I just love how they got pissed bc we beat them at their own game. The lady acted as if we cheated, yet it was just pure jealousy.

We rocked her fucking world and she realized it. They are starting to realize what's going on.

WE ARE WINNING!

I'm jealous of all you guys that were able to beat the establishment. I was at one of the only ones that went to Romney. It was close too, something like 140-130.

But it looks like we got most of them though so thats good. Does anyone know how exactly the rest are chosen? Some kind of MA republican state meeting in the next few months?

I understand that these are bound to Romney on the first round, but I've also heard there are other things to vote for too, like vice president, platform positions etc

Looks like 19-8. 3 supers go to Romney. The 11 state are elected by the state committee, so thats most likely Romney. Thats 22-19. If we pick up that question in 9th, 21-20. If we could somehow swing one delegate of those 7 or 8, we would win the delegation.

Nice. :)

How mad were the Romney people? They seemed pretty nervous here in district 4.

Oh it was hilarious. Some party woman took the mic and said it was important to let the people running for delegate know that they were probably going to have to spend $3,000. That was her way to try to discourage people from running.

At district 6, you should have seen the Romney people's faces. Like all the air was taken out of them.

Also, what was interesting was, all of the Pro-Romney people who were nominated for delegates (eventually losing), were all state senators, fmr state senators, etc.

ALL ESTABLISHMENT!

I would walk to Tampa from New Jersey, sleep on concrete, and starve for four days if thats what gets Ron Paul nominated.

I love it.

At least they did not turn out the lights and run out the doors, like Nevada in 2008! :)

Saw this on DailyPaul. VERY interesting post.

The Romney campaign used stickers attached to the ballot.. now election law (not necessarily Republican law) requires that no stickers allowed 150 feet from voting place.. The Romney campaign handed stickers inside the voting hall... Stickers had the Romney delegate slate. This constitute fair grounds for challenge to his right to cast a ballot in an election.

Republican and Democrat chairmen have been in the past been accused in Clairmont county last presidential election in complicit acts of fraud.

It would be nice to challenge vote... One thing is obvious.. 65% of Massachusetts voters are independent and Mitt will not win Massachusetts in a general election... There is only one person that can defeat Obama
