Man does it feel good to be an Eagles fan right now...

It feels even better to be a Lions fan... Mainly because this is by far the best team I've seen in my lifetime.

Can't lie. Eagles are stacked.

Pretty pleased as a Falcons fan as well.

I've been a Viking fan all my life, and i can tell you Ray Edwards is a beast... If he plays up to his potential. Good luck with him, he's got all the talent in the world.

I'd go so far as to say Ray Edwards > Jared Allen.

yeah, Manning is fucking the colts over wanting his huge contract. You can't get high price players if 1 player takes up a huge portion of the cap.

Ochocinco and Haynesworth to the Pats is interesting...

Sure hope Dallas can get a good safety and 3rd WR, among other things.

huh? Peyton is the best player in the game!

P.S. Peyton turned down over 10 million just so the Colts would have more cap room.

Exactly. Manning could have held out for a lot more and the Colts would have been forced to pay him. He saved their franchise. I +Rep'd Son of Detroit because we are probably the only two Lions fans who also vote for Ron Paul. Lions Fans are more rare than Constitutionalists. Our front line is amazing with Suh and Fairley, but our cornerback and secondary situation is horribly depressing.

I thought the Pats could have been a Super Bowl team with Haynesworth and Ochocinco, but the Eagles look amazing and the AFC is getting a bit crazier. Anyone think the Jets are going to make it back to the AFC Championship game? They got worse in every respect and in places where they didn't, they stayed the same.

I think Bill Belichick is probably one of the best football minds in the history of the game. I wouldn't ever count the patriots out. He has a nack for taking on troubled players and turning their career around.... or at least salvaging what is left -Randy Moss anyone?- on top of that they buy low and sell high. They build their franchise SO well, it's like they're playing Madden and they know exactly when to buy/when to sell and so forth. It's really incredible.

+Rep.

I totally agree. They went 14-2 last year and that was primarily because of their underperforming defense. Haynesworth will definitely help. Corey Dillon is another one who Belichick greatly helped. And it's looking like the Jets won't be an issue this year, so I guess its their AFC Championship to lose.

C'mon, they're the Eagles, you KNOW they will fail, no matter what, just like they always do...

William Penn's curse (no Philly sports team won a championship since the William Penn statue on top of Independence Hall was surpassed in height by skyscrapers) has been broken:

A little figurine was placed on the newly built Comcast building (tallest in Philadelphia) to put him back at the "top" of Philadelphia. The Phillies won a World Series as soon as the curse was broken ;) Now it's the Eagles' turn...

My only question is - do you think Vick can last an entire season? If he goes down, Vince Young is a pretty big drop off. Thoughts?

That would definitely be a problem. I am pretty sure, though, that Vick can go through the season without any major injury that would take him (and/or the team) out of the playoffs.

Is that the same Vick who fought dogs? If it is..well you sports fans need to look at yourself.

Please, I'm sick of hearing this stuff. The man made mistakes, and has been bettering himself ever since. I know some of you are animal lovers, but he did not do the worst thing in the world. In fact, it is something that is, unfortunately, somewhat common in the areas Vick grew up in. Did you eat meat today? You need to go take a look at yourself. How could you kill a helpless pig/cow? Why is a dog's life so much more important than any other animal? And people act like the man was killing dogs by his own hand. He funded a dog fighting ring. Wow. Get over it. Besides, who the hell watches football for ethical enlightenment anyway?
