That's a little disheartening, to say the least. I agree that I have more sympathy for someone who did nothing, but that has no bearing at all on this thread. No one brought up the fact that this guy deserves sympathy more than anyone else, only that his arrest was stupid and should not of happened.

I disagree. He was stupid to flip over them, and he should've known the cops would overreact, but that doesn't warrant an arrest.

This dumbass, who always acts this way through most of his videos, attempts to jump over some cops. He should thank his stars that they didn't beat his stupid ass down. Or the other 1,000 civilians he's harrassed to make his childish half-retarded videos haven't given him a good smack. And I wouldn't give a damn about that either. There comes a point and time where it is your fault. It is his fault. You could even call that karma for what, his wedgie video? Or for running up and down someone's car roof? Fuck that guy. Fuck the cop too, but don't expect me to be up in arms over an idiot getting what he asked for.
And for the record, no one gives a damn that my license was arbitrarily taken and that I owe fines out the ass. Where's my sympathy? I'll tell you I deserve a lot more than that idiot.
Summary: Sure, he shouldn't have been arrested. But had he not jumped over two cops he would not have been put in that video. Had he not been such an idiot, I'd have a little sympathy for him. As it stands, meh. Good for him. He wanted to be a funny guy, now he's a funny guy.

It appears the video of the boy getting ran over was taken down. I am not surprised. Those upset about this man's arrest would be speechless on that one. Cop car, no head lights, no siren, hits this kid crossing the road. Some of the most graphic shit I've ever seen. Crushed his head like a bug. Where was the outrage for that? People are 'rioting' in those neighborhoods and all I see is, jabs at another kid who was shot and killed on whether he deserves protest. Five million '250s' and we are discussing some douchebag putting himself in a situation where he knew he'd be arrested.

This guy put himself very close to hurting the cop, if he had failed to connect on his Parkour flip. It's not just the act of assault, but the immediate, potential act of assault that we should consider here. You don't sneak up behind a person, any person, and surprise them this way without eliciting a defensive posture from that person.
It just so happened that this was a cop, but the guy's pranks are not simply pranks. They can be considered assault when they begin to broach your space severely enough.

I probably would have decked him if he gave me a "wedgie," but he didn't asault anyone in this case. Any of those who feel assaulted by his past actions can take legal action. Nothing excuses what these cops did.

Why do people hate a little fun? Especially when the joke is played on cops. If you were a grumpy normal citizen, you might see that as rude, but I hold cops in lower esteem than the normal citizen.
I don't think they have to suffer fools like this kid greatly, honestly. These were strangers. He's asking for an ass beating from anyone.

If the cop had instead reflexively smacked that guy "up side the head" mid jump and the jumper sued the cop and I were a juror,
I would declare that the smack was justifiable self defense and that the jumper should pay the cop's attorney fees.

Now while the guy wasn't as flagrant towards the cop who arrested him, he routinely did the same types of things. Sure, he probably shouldn't have been arrested.
On the other side of the coin I would be upset if said 'silver surfer' or whatever the hell he's supposed to be, got a charge for punching that idiot. There comes a point and time where people need to realize the consequences of their actions. That being one of them. I bet the guy thinks twice before he harrasses someone again.
