major campaign backers?

Just curious, first time on here, are there any major backers for Ron Paul? I mean people that have something to gain from him winning (financially). According to the Federal Election Commission he has only collected a little over a million in donations of $2000 or more (I realize these numbers are prob a little outdated). Others have between 30-65 million apiece in higher end donations. I mean, I am all for the grass roots kind of battle, but when the majority of Pauls donations are less than $200 it doesn't really represent alot of coporate support. And please, don't tell me that this is not necessary to win an election.

There is a reason that coporations don't support Ron Paul.

It's because he doesn't support using government money to support them.

Why else do you think the establishment hates him so much?

Don't be shocked when you see that the "anti-war" Democrats are funded by the military industry, major banks, and drug companies just like the Republicans. That's why a lot of Paul supporters are behind him rather than getting behind the leading Democrats. Our politicians should represent "the people" and not the corporations.

Search the name York under the state of Texas for contributions to Giuliani. One couple appears to have donated $13,800 in three months. $4,600 was credited in July. Is the FEC paying attention to this???

Although the numbers are not published yet, I expect that Paul raised 4th quarter more than any of the other Republican candidates....all through individuals, and not corporations.

I get your point, though. The media blackout is one example of the need for corporate support.

Remove the "influence", and have free markets and most of these huge corporations could not survive, just as in the wild, animals that "compete" tend to remain lean and mean. Monpolies tend to be bloated just like government.

The nutritional supplements industry should be backing Dr. Paul to keep the FDA out of the supplement business. The cigarette industry has huge money and should support Dr. Paul but has already spent so much money on other Republicans that they may not feel the need.
