Notice with all of the "cyber security" policies and arguments with protecting the public, there is a provision in there that doesn't protect personal data, privacy and legally hacking individuals through deceptive legalities - So the question is, what are they protecting?

The government is protecting the 'Big Corporations' to do anything while giving them unlimited rights with impunity over the billions of people's collective individual rights and freedom - from infringing, recording, manipulating and stealing - or anything you do (activities and data) and hacking into your computers and phones while using the internet; worst of these are that they will give those to the governments, UN organizations and etc...

All Republicans in my state voted Yes and all the Democrats voted No, except one Democrat who didn't vote. That was surprising.

Also, I initially read the bill as "Cyborg Intelligence Sharing..." I'm hungry.

A member of parliament in Canada ( vic toews) recently pushed for a cispa type bill ( I think it was bill c-30) and tried to sugar coat
it for the sake of child / kiddyporn ( which is a legit reason but the bill/law goes way further into stripping our internet privacy than
just protecting children. So some brilliant political insider published mr toews' personal life via twitter (he's going through a divorce) to push the point of Internet privacy. Maybe something to consider for these ass clowns that voted for cispa??

a bill recently passed in Arizona makes spam punishable with up to 17 years of prison or something close to it.

Why is it mostly republicans who are voting for increased regulations, and the democrats voting no? I thought republicans were suppose to support decreased regulations.
Republican and Democrat is a myth ... They work wonders with deception, and generate great divides via the Two Party labels.
