Lindsey Graham is America's Worst Republican - So what is Liberty For All PAC doing?

Exactly. These PACs have to pick battles they can win.

Agreed. Just because someone went through the paperwork to declare themselves a PAC does not necessarily mean they understand politics. It just means they know how to fill out paperwork.

Wow, I didn't know about Lee Bright before now... considering Tom Davis is there too, looks like SC is somehow also the liberty movement's farm team.

I think if we marshal all our forces with a great candidate that has a great message we can defeat Graham.

Same here and it will speak volumes about the strength of the liberty/tea party movement.

In fact, I think it would go a long way to help the tea party have some credibility - let's find someone LIBERTY focused that doesn't come across as cRaZy and will say social issues are on the backburner!

Maybe this round, but if he really believes what he believes, he's gonna have to get kicked upstairs.

I disagree. We need leaders at the state level as well. What good is liberty Republicans controlling Congress, if the state legislatures are packed with socialists?

It may not take quite as much to defeat Graham as everyone thinks it will. Bob Conley took 42% of the vote in 2008 as a Ron Paul supporter running as a Democrat after only spending $15K on his campaign. Graham has a large war chest, but there seems to be a sizeable number of people that want him gone.

Maybe he thinks he can become Majority Leader? Also, I get the sense that Davis is a major pessimist, and feels that the federal gov't is going to collapse and states will have to start fending for themselves. If he believes that, then what he's doing makes sense.

Don't use the Conley numbers for any sort of comparison. Conley was the token Dem on the ticket, just as Alex Sanders was in 2002, and Alvin Green was in 2010 vs DeMint. You could put a chimpanzee on the Dem ticket vs Graham and it will still get 40%, it's just their base number (unless a Green runs and grabs 10% as in 2010).

That being said, the primary battle will be a good one. It is tough to beat an incumbent, but if there is one that can be defeated it is Graham.

I haven't gotten that from him but it would make sense.
By the way, realism != pessimism.

I'm definitely stating the obvious, but if Lee Bright is indeed going to primary Graham then it would be very wise of him to go ahead and declare and cast himself as an ally to Rand. It would be the smart thing to do to capitalize on the momentum.

Once a candidate declares, he's got all kinds of legal burdens to shoulder. It also gives your well-funded opponents a whole bunch of time to dig up dirt, find your Achilles heel and shut you down with whisper campaigns.

Who are the other two?

You asked for it...
