Can someone clarify on this statement. I heard somewhere that he didn't even vote for Reagan, the god of limbaugh. Anyone know anything about his shady past?

It's been awhile, but when he was on the air in Sacramento (just prior to going national) it was revealed that he never had voted. That would have been after the Reagan years.

You probably could score around the net and find old articles...but I was in Sacramento at the time and think I am remembering the news stories correctly.

I personally don't understand what was so amazing about him either. Yes he was better than the average president in many ways, but how can you use a bad standard as your measuring stick. I think Reagan was especially a failure on taxes and government spending. From the carter years to Reagan there was vertually no change in the % of gdp going to taxes. Spending virtually doubled during his administration. Basically, Reagan completely ignored the entitlement problem and the fiscal cancer that was going to eat up the future generations.

However, I would really like to know this thing about limbaugh as Reagan is basically a god to limbaugh.

It wouldn't be the first time in history that someone madeup a god, anointed themselves it's high priest, and then used that god to enrich themselves.

Yes great point.

Reagan revived a sense of love for America and pride in our heritage. That is not something which can be measured by executive policy. He was the great communicator.

The 70's were really really uhhh... really bad. Much classic rock came out of the early to mid 70's but in terms of politics and national identity it was the pits.
