Libertarian national convention May 27–30 in Orlando (Official thread)

I can't see Petersen getting any support for the senior set.. they're going to wonder who brought their son to work

What kind of libertarian doesn't know the going market price of bitcoin?

Totally explains Johnson's lead..... FAKE LIBERTARIANS!!!! :D

McAfee seemed to really like Petersen. I would love a Petersen/McAfee ticket since McAfee seems set on his VP pick.

any campaign gaining strength is going to have to deal with inflitration - Webb for instance

So now that the debate is over. What are you impressions?

Feldman is funny. Petersen was speaking in memes. Johnson is confused. Perry was okay but, as LE noted, needed a shower and he was speaking in a strange way. McAfee was very red but I liked his demeanor the best.

Do you think this will change tomorrow's outcome?

Nope. I think Johnson will win because, electability.

I'm going by the numbers of tokens. Petersen is in second so I think a coalition with him and someone else could help. I think the senior set could be part of the problem. They've been part of the party for so long they want to see it viable no matter the cost so go GJ.

I have the exact same takeaway as you do.

John likes everybody.. in one of the debates.. he kissed Johnson on the cheek, and said he met Petersen in a gay bar j/k

Just going by a lot of libertarian statements on other boards.. if Johnson wins tomorrow, he will get more republican votes than libertarian votes come November.

And is that a risk the LP delegates and establishment are willing to make?

Earlier in his nomination speech, McAfee said he's pretty sure nobody thinks the libertarian is going to win the general and the goal of the party should be to get the most outspoken dooer driving the boat so to speak - I think that probably hurt him

if I could remember which debate it was, I'd grab you the youtube vid... it wasn't Vegas

This is from the Stossel debate. I just remembered because of the caption.

Agreed. Even though he's realistic and his focus on ground up in his closing was great and something that needed to be said.

So what happens to disaffected LPers who don't support the nominee? Do they vote 4th party?
