Inviting Trump to the convention for relevance isn't a sign of stupidity. I'd call that smart. And I think it worked, at least to the extent that one decision affected anything.

But turning around and nominating Chase Oliver seems to cancel that out, while at the same time, I think it obviously benefits Trump.

Speaking of which, what do think about Trump's interview on TimCast, where he [or Tim] never raised the issue of tax-funded NGOs, but instead promoted the "solution" of Federalizing Local LEO? It's the one where Tim kissed Trump's ass.

I agree, it is not a serious party. It should be known that one cannot legislate morality. Any attempts to do so would require a flawless candidate, so to speak, and while short of that, the most important aspect of actually slashing spending, reducing the size of government and eliminating agencies are brushed aside or go unheard. While NO pass is given to the LP [maybe for good and valid reason(s), standing firm on principle], numerous horrendous passes are freely given to the R's and D's. Perhaps that is what sets small l libertarians from the others, and for good reason, because the actual libertarian philosophy is that top-down government is a no-no in the first place; we should be working as close to home as possible to realize the change that we seek. POTUS, and other high office which rule or influence from above is not conducive to small-cell communities.

Yes, we all paid attention to the LP for a day....just enough time to learn that they nominated Chase Oliver. Now, the LP is even more of a laughingstock than they already were.

When I see the best chance I've ever seen to break the grip of the uniparty (or at the very least the best chance since Perot) and I don't do what I can to help make it happen, that's when I'll have trouble sleeping.
