Well put it this way if guns are illegal it might be a good idea to have one. Lets say someone breaks into Your house and they have a gun. If You shoot this total waste of sperm Your neighbors are going to call the cops and You will get into serious trouble. Now if He shoots at You You die and He doesn't give a flying fark about the law so it doesn't matter. Now if You have a silencer You can shoot him and Your neighbor next door won't know what that sound was and will continue watching American Idol. So its good for everyone! The waste of sperm gets what he deserves. Your family is safe and Your brain washed neighbor can continue watching back to back episodes of American Idal & dancing with the stars....

They keep the flash down to a minimum and are good if you don't want to wake the kids as you blow a hole thru the head of an intruder.

Hey what type of rifle was that?
Rifle is a Surgeon action in an A5 stock with a 23" Mike Rock tube and Badger bottom metal. I shoot the 155 scenars at 2950ish at about .25 MOA if ya can hold it. Scope is a USO SN3 3.2-17x .5 MOA EREK knob and scale type 1 MOA reticle. It's a solid rig This video is from pre Thunder Beast days so it's not a TB can. The can is a Jet. The cans I make now are lighter and quieter than what I was running then

I guess the question could be asked, why do we put mufflers on vehicles? Because we found a way to reduce the noise levels and technology improves our lives.

We should take a really stupid tactic and make it all about CRIMINAL RIGHTS.
Like if Im robbing you and you shoot my ass for robbing you, wouldnt I have a right to not be deafened by the sound of a noisy gun while youre shooting at my ass, regardless if you hit my ass or not!
It really is a retarded reason. You shot me for breaking into your house and trying to kill your family, but I should be able to sue you for hearing damage because not only did you shoot me, you shot me with a really loud gun that caused my hearing damage!

A better sale would be because it is respectful.
If you go hunting or out for target practice, you are being respectful to your neighbors by not being as noisy as possible.
If you are hunting, loud sounds tend to scare away prey.
If you fire a gun regardless, it should be allowed for your own personal health for protecting your hearing.
Because owning a gun is not a crime. In fact it is an inherit constitutional right.
Because those who use their guns lawfully will be the ones punished, it doesnt do anything to stop criminals from being criminals and using guns to commit crimes.
Because it doesnt matter if I get shot in the head by a gun with a silencer or not, dead is still dead.
Because if you are going to murder someone, you should still be respectful to the neighbors of the person you are going to murder! (lol yeah right)
Because your PETS can not put on hearing protection as easily as a human can. Hmm, lets go Duck Hunting. And you have a dog that is some breed of Retreiver...
Because loud sounds can cause knee-jerk reactions. If youre not expecting to hear a gun fire, and you are holding a gun yourself, a knee jerk reaction can cause you to fire your weapon. Another one on safety.
Because when youre hunting, unsilenced (or at least reduced) weapon fire gives you ONE shot to hit your prey. If you were depending on that prey to eat, you'd have a problem.
Because animals taste better when they are killed by silenced weapons! (another one for the dumbasses to "eat" up. eat up... get it? ok nevermind)
Because earmuffs and earplugs dont do as effective of a job at protecting your hearing as for there to not be a sound to begin with.
Because if a gun is fired in the woods, and no one hears the gun shot, was there really a gun shot sound to begin with?
Because shooting fish in a barrel with loud sounding weapons is offensive to the fish that doesnt get shot.
Because someone else wants to have a gang war with someone else in my neighborhood shoudnt interrupt me while Im watching Dancin with the Stars...
Because any form of a restriction on firearms hurts everyone.
