latest VIRGINIA poll

Relax guys. When we win Washington it'll give us the edge over Romney in Virginia. Just wait for it.

As much as I hate to say it they aren't going to let us win Washington...

The one thing i'll say about these polls is that 35% of America doesn't vote and the whole "likely voters" is kind of BS.

It doesn't take into account a lot of that support for Romney is soft and all of the support for Ron is solid. Mitt's people are more likely to stay home, that's what these polls never take into account- Paul supporters are going to show up (it's in part why we always out do the polls).

If they stopped messing with the ballots we would have won by now...

Most people in VA don't know they won't be able to write-in - or that their candidate is even off the ballot.

Need to get the word out. If you support Santorum, deny Romney delegates by voting Paul. If you support Newt, deny Romney delegates by voting Paul.

No conversion needed at all, just pure GOTV for all 3 camps.

I'm in central Virginia [CD4] and it's dead as door nail here. No signs, commercials, ads or anything. There are lots of people here that don't like Romney, but we have lots of establishment types and a huge block of apathetic types too. I think it's gonna be somewhere between 75/25 and 60/40 with low turnout in my local area. I've never been to the county canvas where the actual delegates are picked, but I'm going this time. I just got to figure out who the RP people are.

Here in northern Va it is to all intents.. dead. I've never seen another RP bumper sticker (except for my kids).
BUT the college kids and many others showed up to Springfield, my son included. I have hope for the future, but I don't know whats up.
Its so Washington centric around here, politics run on MSM 24 -7, I think everyone is brainwashed OR
they work for Federal Gov and are acting in their own self interest?
Sad, but possible.
May take a couple more years, but I'm optimistic.
The young people will take over the party at some point.

We got a lot of ground to make up in Virgina to get a victory there for Ron Paul. I suggest door knocking and calling. Surely not everyone there makes their living off of the military industrial complex.

Can anyone check and see if this site works for them? I can't seem to get it to show a page. If it works can you klet me know? I'll need to mess with my hosts file or something. Need to find the relevant chit chat boards around the area where the yungins hang out. They have to be the ones...

And yet somehow Romney voters show up in much larger numbers than Ron Paul voters. No, Romney's people turn out to vote just fine, and in far greater numbers than ours. They just aren't fanatical about their guy like we are.

Don't underestimate the stupidity of the masses. Most people are not educated about the process, and they just don't care to learn. And if you try to tell them they just give you blank stares. These are people that think that their civic duty as citizens amounts to showing up to vote on election day once every 4 years, if at all. They aren't going to do anything unless their personal lives are disrupted in the form of sky high market prices of things like milk, bread and gas. And when they do finally do something, it amounts to rioting or meaningless protests that degenerate into violence and mass arrests.

I think many people are just plain dumb. I once didn't think this, but I have seen way too many examples lately that seem to confirm this. Sometimes it feels like I am living in a real life twilight zone.

Open primary. Anyone can vote.

Oh it is open like Michigan. Maybe we can get those "operation hilarity" people to vote in Virginia lol I still don't see most Democrats, Independents, Newt, and Santorum people voting for Mitt but I could be wrong.

This may not be how things really are, but it does show that the notion that everyone who is voting for Santorum or Gingrich is doing so solely to vote against Romney is absurd. Believe it or not, many are actually voting FOR Santorum or Gingrich...and many of those would pick Romney as their second choice. That is why Romney picked up so many in Virginia. Another reason why it is silly to think that you can just add up Paul/Gingrich/Santorum votes and expect that in a Romney/Paul two way race is because many Gingrich and Santorum supporters simply won't bother to vote when they drop out.

If Paul doesn't win at LEAST 2 states before it gets down to a two way race, it is all over. That is not negative thinking, it is living in reality. All it would do would be to give Romney the votes he needs to turn some of those proportional states into winner take all. ESPECIALLY with virtually all the post Super Tuesday states being primaries.

And by needing to win states, I mean STATES. Momentum-wise, a win in Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands won't mean shit. It won't even get mentioned on the news.) It won't get mentioned on the news no matter who wins.) Sure...it would count toward that 5 win minimum, but without momentum, it won't add up to 5.

It is really a shame that the Paul campaign didn't stack up on Virginia much earlier.. Seriously a shame.

If we have each Ron Paul supporter in VA standing outside each polling place handing out flyers making CLEAR differentiation between RP and Romney, WE COULD WIN.

WHO LIVES IN VA? THIS SHOULD BE TOP PRIORITY.

NO AMOUNT OF DOOR KNOCKING WILL WIN VA, YOU GOTTA STAND WHERE THE VOTERS WILL COME. THIS IS A LAST DITCH EFFORT.

So? That would make them no less likely to support Paul to ensure their candidate doesn't fall behind Romney.

It is simply a failure of GOTV of the 3 (4, if we include "Operation Hilarity" individuals) if we're not doing better. Santorum and Gingrich supporters WILL come out to deny Romney delegates if they know to do so.
