So, what's up with the counties claimed for Romney with "100% reporting" and zero total votes?
 
25 delegates (10 base at-large delegates and 15 bonus delegates) to the Republican National Convention are proportionally allocated to presidential contenders based on the statewide vote. A 20% threshold is required in order for a presidential contender to be allocated National Convention delegates. However, if only one candidate or no candidate receives the 20%, there is no threshold.

[the percentage of votes received] = [votes cast for each candidate] ÷ [total votes cast for all candidates meeting the threshold].
Beginning with the candidate who received the most votes, multiply [the percentage of votes received] by [25 National Convention Delegates] and round any remainder up to the next whole number. Repeat for the next highest vote getter until all 25 delegates are allocated. [Section VI. 2. A.]


Does that mean if only Santorum gets above 20% we can get delegates?

Apparently their worlds haven't become unwrapped enough. This will come in time, unfortunately.

So realistically the best we can hope for is that Santorum blows everyone away by enough to keep Newt and Romney under 20%

Yes. If Santorum is the only candidate with more than 20% of the vote, the at-large delegates are allocated proportionally. The CD delegates are winner take all.
 
Paul's votes seem like they are trickling slower and slower by the passing percentage, while everyone else's keeps climbing at a steady pace.
 
What is really important is to know is are the Kansas delegates bounded after the first ballot at the convention. For example, I'm running to be a delegate for NJ in june, Chances are Romney would win it and its a winner take all 50 delegate state. If I'm voted in as a delegate Im bounded to vote for the Winner of the NJ primary..but what we all know now is that chances are that no one will get 1,144 delegates on the first ballot of the National convention....So after the first ballot, I am now unbounded and allowed to vote for Ron Paul. That's the real strategy for these bounded states. Win as many unbounded delegates as possible to make it harder for romney to get to 1,144.. After that that's when other RP Trojan Horse freed delegates come in.

STOP getting discouraged by these results and focus on being a delegate for your state. What do you expect when they do a media black out on Paul, Yeah election/voter fraud in the states we actually won, But for the states like Kansas we gotta see past these sheeple contests and try to be a delegate. This same strategy worked for Obama in 2008 against Hilary.

Were not winning the nomination before the convention, were trying to win it in Tampa, If you guys are serious as I am for getting Paul elected, try to become a delegate REGARDLESS if you are bounded on the first vote!!!
 
At Wichita, I'd say at least half the crowd was for Santorum. Ron Paul and Gingrich seemed to divide the rest with maybe a slight edge to Paul. However, that could just be due to enthusiasm instead of numbers. Hardly any support for Romney. He didn't even bother to come to the state and didn't even send a representative. Just a generic letter that the county GOP chairman read. He'll still get some of the idiots that vote for whoever the frontrunner is.

Our local Ron Paul campaign guy gave a great speech that hit on all the high points. It was perfectly tailored to the audience, but I think most people had their mind made up before they came in today.

Unfortunately it was pretty much what I expected. If you make a lot of noise about being religious (true or not), you are going to get votes at a GOP caucus in this state. People also like to vote for the perceived front runner.

If only things had gone a little different in Iowa, I think this would be a dramatically different race at this point.
 
BTW i meant to mean what is important to find out is are kansas delegates bounded on the first ballot. I not sure of this but i am sure that the majority of bounded delegates in other states (Like Jersey) are freed after the first ballot in tampa, I'm assuming to think Kansas is one of them but I cant confirm that I cant find out anywhere yet.

I agree with most of this.

And, I agree that everyone needs to be a delegate. I, as well as many others on here, have been preaching this for some time.

But, the campaign is low on cash and the soft support is going away each and every day. Perception is bigger than most people believe. It'd be nice to have a couple states under our belts. Perhaps fundraising wouldn't be such an issue at this point and people wouldn't be so bummed out. The more we lose, the less votes we get down the road. The more we lose, the less money this campaign has to operate. The more we lose, the media's perception takes a strangling-like effect on all the good sheep in this country that Paul is unelectable and his popularity remains low.

Yeah i agree with the perception part of it, RP donations are going down because they dont believe he has a shot at winning, i feel we have to make this strategy known starting with the core of RP supports (Like here). Just keep spreading the reality that Paul still has a chance. MORE OF A CHANCE THAN SANTORUM. Theres no possible way santorum can win the nomination. He doesnt have delegates on a couple of states for him in the counties he ended up winning
