CNN is reporting right now the problems with the machines.
with all the tech savy rp supporters cant we rig some machines for RP, thats how the republicans won and I am sure it happened in NH so its just fighting fire with fire...
So I just got back from voting. I am a precinct leader, and went in early to ask some questions and introduce myself. I was not happy at all with how it went. (sorry this is long...I'm kind of angry)...
Excellent report! I'm from NH and volunteered for the NCEL to report the totals from my precinct. While the town officials were nice to me, they expressed total BLIND FAITH in the Diebold machines... now we are hearing that the LHS private vendor and/or towns broke the custody chain with memory cards, slit ballot boxes arriving from precincts for the recount in Concord, etc...
Meanwhile, the citizenry are out picking up hot wings for tomorrow's Patriots game...
Please keep up to date with the post election happenings, so you can report what you were told to Blackboxvoting.org and consider donating to their chip-in... they are doing alot up in NH right now to shine the light on the BLIND FAITH of the results and really need some support.
stop it with these baseless accusations Nh uses 100% paper ballots.
dont you just want to bitchslap the guy who said a paper trail was rediculous? id like to open hand slap him so hard that he would beg for a paper trail.
On the plus side, I was exit polled
GO RON PAUL!

You should have put very strong magnets in your pockets when you went to vote.
That machine would break then =)
I'll be working polls in Florida on the 29th, and they have us voting the same way.
- No paper ballots (even provisionals are electronic)
- No paper trail of your vote (this is to alleviate the hanging chad fiasco)
- And most importantly - without paper there is NO WAY TO RECOUNT
So unless there are public-driven independent testing of the machines to certify them both before and after the vote, there is no way to tell if your vote was counted correctly.
Here's how my early voting encounter went (had to early vote since I'll be working the polls on election day):
ME: Excuse me, Ma'am. How do I know my vote was counted correctly.
HER: The machine says "Thank you for voting." It has been recorded.
ME: Yes. But was it recorded correctly?
HER: Correctly?
ME: Yes. How do I know it recorded who I chose to vote for?
HER: Well, the computer tallies all of that, and at the end of the night we count all of the tallies.
ME: So we trust the computer works correctly? That's it?
HER: Yes, that's it. Here - have a sticker.
<the sticker is a circle with the US Flag stating "My Vote Counted!">
<I looked at the sticker and said...>
ME: Can I borrow that red Sharpie?
HER: Sure.
<I drew a red X through the sticker, and placed it on my shirt>
HER: Why did you do that?
ME: Because we really don't know if my vote was counted "correctly" now do we?
